I was passing Wembley on Saturday afternoon, and saw a WMT 730 towards the northend of the rolling stock stabled there. Was this 730234 please?
Also, there's a Varamis 321 standing just south of the PDRC - does anyone know which one it was, please.
And thank-you to all those who've responded to requests this year. Great info, just when it was needed. Your invaluable input has saved so many of us from countless pointless trips, saving so much time, and more than a few quid. You've helped me whittle down my 'most wanted' list (of trains built before 2024) - which now stands at 9, and routes untravelled (that have scheduled passenger services) down to 1 mile 79 chains (5 separate routes though)*.
Huge thanks also to everyone at PTS. You all provided such a great service, which was so appreciated by many of us. You are truly missed. Hope you're enjoying your well-earned break. But if you ever think of coming back from retirement .....
And thank-you to everyone using the forums. I've learned so much, often about stuff I'd had no previous interest in, I've appreciated the debates, and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the community.
And finally, best wishes to everyone for a peaceful, joyful, healthy and railway-filled 2025 - and good luck in tracking down your last cops, haulages, and those pesky PSULs at silly-o'clock in the morning.
(*) Even so, there's been the odd occasion when travelled a couple of hundred miles or so and shelled-out on a B&B just to do a PSUL, and arrived at the station to find it cancelled, or it's avoided the PSUL route and gone the standard way. Grrr! But perhaps in 2025 I'll finally learn that it's all part of the fun??
