Hello all,

Did anyone play the PS2/PC game 'Grand Theft Auto III'? It was good in it's year being the first 3D GTA3 game, and was the only one that had the option of having the old 'top view' camera, later removed in the later series (I can't speak for GTA3: Liberty Stories though).

Now, I had an idea. I am thinking of maybe typing up a book, project name 'Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City'. It would be an action/thriller book based on the storyline of the game, just obviously tweaked a bit to make it readable and interesting (rather than typing out the whole script of the game).

I doubt it would be worth publishing it as a book to buy, so I will probably hand it over to someone who could compile it into a PDF document, but I would first like some people on here to say if they like the idea and would like to read it after I have typed it out for opinions.

If there is some interest, I will go ahead scribbling on lots of paper with brainstorms and collecting data before firing away with typing it up. I would use the same characters and maybe the same missions but with 8-ball following 'the un-named criminal' as, of course, he doesn't say a word, so I am thinking of keeping it that way, with 8-Ball more-less as his 'speaker'.

The ending will need changing for reasons I can't say, otherwise there would be no point in reading it

I have scanned Google, and it appears no-one has come up with the idea of creating a book. I haven't done a book before so it will be a challenge, but I am interested in reading, mainly Jeffery Deaver books. I am interested in reading your responses as to weather you like the idea and would maybe like to take part as a 'test reader' to see what you think, but any ideas or suggestions would also be welcome!

Cheers,

James.

I have played grand theft auto 3, and liberty city stories on my psp before it was released onto the ps2, i have played vice, city & grand theft auto 5 as well.

Liberty city stories is basically the same as grand theft auto 3 apart from it being based before GTA3 and you can swim etc.

good luck with your idea as well.

San Andreas was by far the best of the lot. In my opinion. Not sure about a book, are you angling to provide the storyline to V??

San Andreas was pretty cool but so was Vice City especially where the PC versions were concerned as you could mod them to your heart's desire, don't like Burger Shot (Grand Theft Auto's parody of Burger King), fine install the mod for McDonalds instead, :)

I used to love modding San Andreas and flying the 747 out of Las Venturas in Virgin Atlantic livery.
