Hi sorry what is MMI?I am wondering the same. I believe it can differ so I’m just making sure to be prepared for the possibility of it being on the same day.

Not sure tbfHi all, I have passed stage one assessment for trainee train driver, very happy. The email does state that the requirements for the workforce has changed so the next stage will be extended.
Is this a polite way of saying I passed the tests but others did better so I will have to wait or, has anybody heard anything about a change in recruitment needs?
Are you in the same position? Not sure tbf
Also, re the MMI, is that staged by GWR or other relevant TOC or is it held by the same third party group that ran stage one assessments? Are you in the same position?
For my experience with GWR it was with the third party OPC who does the other assessments. Are you in the same position?

Also I passed stage one last week and been sent an invitation today to book the next stage (interviews) so only waited a week!
I went in jeans, T-shirt, trainers and a hoodie. It’s important to feel comfortable. Don’t turn up in your scruffs but it’s an intense day without feeling uncomfortable. I passed. The guys at the assessment centre relax you as much as they can. Just make sure you are well rested. It’s quite an emotional day and can be draining.I also have an assessment centre booked. I will be wearing a suit to be safe. I'd rather make a good impression just incase!
Was this for stage one assessment or stage two also?I went in jeans, T-shirt, trainers and a hoodie. It’s important to feel comfortable. Yeah it was a lot more chilled than I expected. Three of us wore full suits while the other two wore suit trousers with a jumper and jeans and a jumper.I went in jeans, T-shirt, trainers and a hoodie. It’s important to feel comfortable. Hi, I am happy to hear that you got through the first stage. If you don't mind me asking, which depot did you applied for? Could you tell me, did you book MMI or DMI first? Many thanksWhen I did stage one assessment, they said that GWR were doing interviews so i wonder if that’s the change in recruitment process!

Thanks, you too! Have you been invited for interview yet?Congratulations! Good luck for the next stage!
Thank you, I applied for Oxford. They have given me a 3.5hr time slot and it says MMI will take place, then also says during this time slot you will complete an interview with the Driver Management Team so appears to be both.Hi, I am happy to hear that you got through the first stage. As standard railway recruitment is notoriously slow, I'd be surprised if it isn't quite a few weeks into next year if not longer.I've just applied for the GWR talent pool for trainee train driver and done both the SJT and alpha/numerical tests that followed submitting my application.
Can anyone advise how long it might take before I get a result either way? Christmas is next week so could it be as long as the new year? Closing date is 23rd so guessing so?
Could take months, the adage "no news is good news" holds true in my limited experience. You could be waiting months or years and then suddenly things start coming within a matter of weeks of each other. Just have to sit tight and wait. I think it waited around a month or two before the next stage after initial application with GWR.I've just applied for the GWR talent pool for trainee train driver and done both the SJT and alpha/numerical tests that followed submitting my application.
