It does. When you pick the train, select the View All Tickets link as per the attached image (image is of fares available on a randomly selected peak Avanti train).

Pick the train and select "View more tickets". If it is available it will show there. See the attached screenshot from Trainline (showing the same set of fares as LNER are above plus a SplitSave entry).

It's not well publicised outside of their own site because it's a non standard thing, it just shows up as a type of Standard Advance unless you've explicitly supported it.

For what it's worth, TrainSplit (and hence the forum's) site also sells SP tickets on the beta sites and on the Android app, but due to limitations we cannot yet offer splits for these.

We'll even call it out explicitly when you've selected a journey which offers it.

Agreed. But BR Fares shows the prices; it varies from just a couple of pounds for short journeys, to £35 for the longest journeys (London to Carlisle and north thereof).

Interestingly I think it only shows the price on BR Fares if you leave the railcard blank. I would have thought it should show the same non discounted upgrade option when a railcard is chosen. Explains why I haven't seen it before.

It shouldn't but maybe Avanti haven't set up fares properly for some Railcards?

I had a look with Euston to Birmingham and there's a variety of "ADVANCE STDPREM" fares showing.

Those aren't discountable with Railcards, which is why upgrading in advance could be cheaper.

Also, bear in mind Seatfrog implement unlawful 'drip pricing'; an additional amount will be charged, erroneously, on top of the upgrade fare.

Anyone unlawfully charged the additional amount can claim it back, however this could be a time consuming and difficult process; I kno a few people who are evidencing all such charges and waiting until they reach a reasonable sum before putting in a claim.

Whilst I have no love for SeatFrog, the app does since quite recently display the £3 "platform fee" on the first screen that prices are shown, and is thus compliant. It is not a strict legal requirement for the fee to be "rolled into" the price as long as it is shown at the first time a price is shown.
