I hate to say it but, it wont be this year. I think it's all be pencilled in for the next finical year AKA April 2025 onward. Also its not clear what type of bus St Andrews is getting.

Could it be the new Enviro200EV?

Glenrothes have been spoiled this year. New Solos, Enviro100EVs, Volvo 9700DDs and now these Evoras. Promising signs of new buses for East Scotland with new orders on the way in 2025 as well with Enviro400 EVs and BZL single decks.

They’ve not been delivered yet but will be here by the end of the year.

Lothian’s Evora’s are my favourite buses on their fleets, & the stock ones that Houstons of Lockerbie, Edinburgh Coach Lines, Stuarts of Carluke, & others have are really good buses too (in my opinion), so I’m interested how these’ll turn out.

Glenrothes have been spoiled this year.

Yeah, I was excited to see that Fife were getting some until I realised that they were the 4th batch of buses getting sent to Glenny. I’ve not been on them so I don’t know how well they’re doing, but maybe they could’ve replaced the E200s in St. Andrews (which hasn’t seen properly new buses in years, not since before Covid-19 if I’m not mistaken).

E300s have much better standing room than Evoras, hands down. We don’t even know if they’re the longer or shorter Evoras so can’t really make judgements yet.

Makes you wonder who, and why, has cancelled their order.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stagecoach had first refusal on them as a kind of apology for the late delivery of 9700DDs. Which has turned out to be very helpful given the late delivery of EVs from other manufacturers and the need to release vehicles within set timescales (B5LHs to Manchester mainly).

They'll get utilised on whatever Glenrothes run I doubt there will be any set route given what they do just now, everything and anything gets put on whatever route.

Yeah, sounds about right. From what I can tell, there’s not much need for the 4 routes to use deckers anyway, so.

Yeah, the allocations for routes at the Glen has become rather unprofessional nowadays, with a lot of buses just being smacked on whatever (not least the E300s on the X54/9/9A).

Perth's last new 9700DD, 50517 is on loan to Aberhill and Glenrothes for Driver Training ahead of their own new coaches arriving.
I saw 50517 in Aberhill depot last Monday.

Today was a chaotic day for the 12:57 73C from Ninewells...
10675 had to be replaced by 10672 in Dundee, which needed to be replaced by 13113 in Carnoustie - which broke down a few stops later!

The company has got the first 16 or the E400MMC, Does anyone know the following

* Where is the other 12 E400MMC coming from?
* When and where is the 16 E400 coming?
* Where and Where is the 19 E200MMC coming from?

They are intended for the X24 & X27 for Glasgow but who knows where they will end up working.

I think it's been said before that double deckers can't operate on the Forth Road Bridge in high winds (and buses can't divert over the new bridge without missing some stops), so it might depend on how quickly the company feels they can pull those vehicles in and replace them with single deckers when the need arises.

Also they need more capacity on the Glasgow routes, especial since it used to be every 20mins from 2007 - 2019 then up to every 15mins.

7 new Volvos going into Kilmarnock for the 900. The eight replaced Panorama (50412-50419) can be used to replace Interdecks on X76 & X74, releasing the Interdecks to Fife for the Edinburgh expresses?

I think the X74 went back to Interdeck operation.

I believe they want to get rid of the oldest stock but I have feeling they will all be sent to Glenrothes to stop the Single decker buses running the routes. Which means another order of 10 coaches would be needed in 2025/26, it will be never ending until 2030?

X-74 I think is still a single deck or it was last time I used it. And to be honest, given the demographic of many of the passengers it carries the interdek was a totally unsuitable solution for the route

It's fully interdeck operated, it's a busy service so warrants the capacity

While this was a trial of cutting-edge technology and a new route linking Ferrytoll with Edinburgh Park, passenger numbers have been too low to continue operating the service beyond the project’s end.

I believe that there's still a lot of demand for it if they were to extend it even slightly on both ends, however maybe it's best just to forget it and run a more conventional service instead if they do want to provide a link between Fife and West Edinburgh

Interestingly both the CAVForth and Fusion Processing websites are currently down, although nothing elsewhere to suggest there are any issues with Fusion.

Probably a silly question, can the buses be modified back to normal non-driverless ones? As I understand they took quite some time in getting converted to work driverless.
