Is this not standard? In an early-morning peruse of Tyrell, you'll normally find several of these alterations paged out. However, it doesn't seem to bear much resemblance to what happens on the ground. Trains without alterations with no catering, with a trolley available on services marked as having no catering.

I was on a CrossCountry service from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh last Sunday which was advertising "CATERING SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE".

In reality, there was catering on board - certainly in First Class.

Only on the 170s, it's always been internal on the Voyagers.

I usually call in at Gregg's for a sandwich and cup of tea before boarding an XC train - I don't trust them to provide a trolley.

Double voyager to Sheffield on Friday (16:44 York) and today’s double voyager Derby (16:45) both had catering but only in one set and no plans to alter the set at changeover points en route
