That’s part of Calder Road shut off at Parkhead/Broomhouse and Sighthill. Also Broomhouse Road.

Was wondering why it's been quiet for the last 30 mins at the new builds next to Sighthill Park.

Just truly pathetic and a total ban on the sale of fireworks should happen.

The seem to still be serving Edinburgh but stopping at Hermiston Park & Ride from West Lothian. The 25 has now also been diverted from Calder Road.

Apologies, Yes it is serving Hermiston P&R, but no other buses are so there is no link into the city.

I agree. Total ban and tough penalties for anyone being caught with them.

I saw that and also the 25, 34, 35 & 36 now terminating at Longstone. The 21 terminating at Drum Brae and the 30 and 33 going via Chesser Avenue and Allan Park.

Have the roads been shut like they have been in Niddrie and Moredun? Nothing moving in Moredun at all

It wouldn't entirely solve the problem though. Neds can still get their hands on bricks and stones, Bonfire Night or not.

I must say Lothian are doing well to still be putting on a service, Tonights antics have gone way too far and what ive seen online if fireworks and missiles being shot through letterboxes etc… its well beyond unsafe out there

It is the equivalent of a riot, seriously. As much as I feel for the people of the areas, I feel something has to be done more than just one day. I feel some services need to be suspended after a certain time in a few places and you can say it is Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night but something needs to be done as tensions have been rising for a while now.

Yes, Bo'ness is more trouble than it's worth. The Edinburgh connection was a basket case for decades.
Other than a knee jerk response thinking this is part of a bus war, I find it hard to see why people are negative on the X19. To me, running double deckers from the city centre and terminating at Winchburgh makes good sense given the demand growth on this corridor. Generally these passengers are best kept away from the X38 and in the fullness of time maybe the X38 will bypass most of Winchburgh, Kirkliston and Ratho Station.

The X19 has now appeared on google maps. I have mixed feelings about the X19 like Theeastcoaster but perhaps it has a better chance than a few years ago. I take it deckers couldn't go via Burnshot?

The issue would be more that the road is too narrow for a full length bus, single or double deck. Even the SD Travel 16 which used it previously has been rerouted away. If you’re going to use it you may as well go up towards the slip roads for the Forth Road Bridge and join the A90.

The issue would be more that the road is too narrow for a full length bus, single or double deck. Even the SD Travel 16 which used it previously has been rerouted away. If you’re going to use it you may as well go up towards the slip roads for the Forth Road Bridge and join the A90.

There is no problem using that road, the old 557 used to go up it to beat the traffic on the B800, Via Standingstane Rd. Nordi Travel/First 631 happily went that way.

The main reason the SD travel No16 was rerouted away was the Burnshot flyover was knocked down and rebuilt, taking nearly 4 years to be complete. At one point it was operating via Newton. I have no idea why it isn't reroute back via Burnshot.

There is enough space to pass two full size buses on that road, yes it's narrow but it can be done. Much worse roads out there that see regular buses

I'm not sure that's correct - I can think of several places along there from Kirkliston to Burnshot where you would not get 2 full sized buses past each other - cars passing have enough problems as it is and that's before you throw in all the cycles. Full sized double deckers will never be routed down there with the road width as it currently is.

27 is mostly 351 to 400 today …any reason ? Some days are quite a few of these on the 31 other days none . Just curious

Not a great shot, but shows LCB route learning the X19 route on Duntarvie Castle Road, Winchburgh a few stops into the Edinburgh bound run at lunchtime today. It was showing as X19 Edinburgh, but changed to Not in Service as I approached

Is there any plans for anymore of these buses to be repainted into Lothian Country livery? The only ones from bustimes that I can see are 466 upwards where they haven’t been used for a few days. Are those ones next to be repainted?

443 just moved into the paint booth and 441 has moved into Seafield in the last hour having swapped with 712.

All of 441-465 are meant to be going, weather thats true we’ll need to wait and see but 441 to 446 are definitely all moving
