Struggling to work out best payment for commuting

I travel from merstham to blackfriars, but this isn't necessarily 5 days a week. So far I've been buying paper anytime return tickets, but I have had a look at oyster fares and flexi season tickets.

I'm not sure which is the best value for me. I use a disabled railcard.

Additionally, if I had a full week in the office, would a 7day season be beneficial, or stick with buying each day?

@NaZzAtAzEr. How much have you been paying for day tickets? £16.45 with railcard discount? Think a weekly season is £77.50 (no railcard discount available on weekly seasons?) so you'd probably need to be travelling five days a week at peak hours to save anything.

Oyster is cheaper at £7.85 each way if your railcard is applied to the Oyster card, giving £15.70 a day if all travel is at peak times.

Would keyGo be a good choice for OP, given the journey is presumably made wholly on Southern/Thameslink?

They would benefit from weekly season capping where this is cheaper (when they travel 5 days per week), plus PAYG price matching for journeys within the Oyster/contactless areas (for the £15.70/day pricing mentioned above) if they add their Railcard to it online.

What time are the journeys being made? If it is possible to touch in at Merstham before 06:30 with Oyster you would be charged at off-peak rates.

I'll give oyster a try this week, as there may be chances I go home before the afternoon peak.
