Thanks - I suspect it will be a long bus ride for me. I imagine that even if the strike is settled at the last minute it could be too late to roster staff to run a service.

If the strike is off services will run - as a closed network LU doesn’t have the same challenges as say national rail in reinstating services. A near-normal service ran when the strikes were called off at short notice earlier this year.

If the strike does go ahead there may be some residual services after 5pm but not significantly, and mainly going out of town rather than into it.

As Sunday’s action is by power control staff there won’t be any shuttle services running.

What about on Tuesday? TFL say services will start later but unsure what time that usually correlates to

Based on previous Tube strike action, what levels of service could be expected on each of the days?

Expecting no services some days, but sometimes on TOC strikes they are able to run some services
There are some details now at https://TfL.gov.Uk/strikes but I don’t know how severe the ‘severe disruption’ could be. It depends how many members of staff are striking?

on a separate note, is there any way of telling how gridlocked the roads will be? It’s my sheer luck that I’ve got a week full of work when the strikes are on (apologies if this is off topic)

Within central London it will almost certainly be quicker to walk than take a bus or taxi, in my experience. If you can cycle that would probably be the best option.

Will tracks shared with National Rail trains still have non-tube services?
For example, the Richmond to Gunnersbury and Queens Park to Harrow & Wealdstone sections of London Overground?

Probably yes, as signalling by NR but Gunnersbury and Kew Gardens being LU stations can be non-stopped.

Gunnersbury-Richmond, Queen’s Park-Harrow and Wimbledon-East Putney should all have full non-LU services over them, possibly with some non-stopping at the extremes of traffic on the 5th & 7th November.

Shared stations such as the Elizabeth line CCOS etc may be closed at the extremes of traffic on the 5th and 7th.

There will be no Chiltern services over the Met on any strike day, and nothing will stop at South Ruislip either.

Is there any way of predicting which Elizabeth line stations are likely to be closed on Tube Strike days? One of my backup commute options involves changing from Thameslink at Farringdon, which really stuffs me if it doesn't work and I only find out at Farringdon.

Farringdon is also one of my travel options...

Can these stations [Elizabeth line core operating section] remain open if there is no service controller?
The strikes on 5 and 7 November are by RMT London Underground stations and trains staff. (As well as ASLEF on 7 November. List of strikes on District Dave's Forum)

On these days Elizabeth line / National Rail stations could close if there are insufficient staff for the LU section of the station. I guess this is because the LU section is an exit for the rest of the station.

From @bluegoblin7's post it sounds like they think these Elizabeth line stations (Paddington-Abbey Wood if I'm right) would only close very early or very late in the day. But disruption could change on the day.

I guess the LU service controllers strike (6 and 8 November) wouldn't cause closure of Elizabeth line and National Rail stations itself. However, they could close due to overcrowding, or disruption caused by yesterday/tomorrow's strike

Maybe someone with more inside knowledge could confirm or reject what I've said!

LU staffed Elizabeth Line stations are:
Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Whitechapel

I assume the sticking point for ASLEF is pay parity so that Tube Drivers are on similar if not the same pay as London Overground and Elizabeth Lines drivers.

But unlike the "big railway" the RMT also represents a significant proportion of LU drivers.

Wondering what the impact will be on the Met line or more specifically the Chiltern trains between Marylebone and Aylesbury via Amersham. With both unions out on strike, no train service runs on that route. I'm wondering what the impact is likely to be if RMT staff are working but ASLEF are striking. I think the main issue for the Met-line Chiltern trains is signallers being out - guessing they are more likely to work for the RMT than ASLEF (who I'm guessing are mainly/exclusively drivers?). Obviously if station staff are out, then no-stops would be possible between Amersham and Harrow, but guessing Chiltern could run through non-stop, as long as the signallers (and track workers for maintenance?) are at work.

If ASLEF are striking, it wouldn't affect Chiltern since it's a LUL dispute.

Today? I understood ASLEF action was 7th and 12th of November, though not my union so may be wrong.
ASLEF Transplant members are striking from today but this doesn’t affect the public - @Dstock7080 wrote a list here: https://districtdavesforum.co.uk/post/530162/thread (correction - and in the first post in this thread)

ASLEF only represent drivers (I think?) so there shouldn’t be a direct effect on Chiltern or station closures

No reason for Chiltern services not to run, but I'd expect them to run non-stop over LUL if there are no Met line services running.

Equally, Chiltern had already announced no service past Great Missenden Tuesday-Friday, so it may be that they stick with that.

I also take issue with the edited thread title - the strike/dispute isn't resolved, it has been suspended. The RMT remain in dispute and more action may yet be called.

TfL are still advising of potential station closures despite the RMT strike being suspended:

https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/strikes?cid=strikes said:
Some DLR, London Overground (including Night Overground) and Elizabeth line services may not stop at certain stations with Tube lines. This is due to possible station closures

Can anyone say if this is in fact likely, and why?

Overcrowding, mainly. Probably only an issue on the Aslef strike days, if it goes ahead.
