Annoying television adverts...

Diversity is a wonderful thing but I think Virgin are just being smug about it here. The woman pulling a face looks uncannily like Mel Chisholm (aka Sporty Spice) but probably isn’t.

It is Mel Chisholm, and the black guy reading a newspaper is Redd Pepper, a famous voice over artist that almost everybody would have heard in films, video games and tv programmes. He was a tube train driver when a passenger on his train heard an announcement and rushed to the cab window at the next stop to give the driver his card, -he was a film exec.. He's the man who says "In a world ...." in numerous british film trailers, e.g. Armageddon, Men In Black, Independence Day etc..

I would assume it is the member of crew with the glittery eyelids who looks unusual to your neighbour.

I can imagine this neighbour, probably in my age group, squirming whilst trying to say a word that describes the character in question with a distasteful expression.

Can't find any references to her so she might be one of the VA staff that appeared on the ad..

I think it would be just the right thing to occur, if it was possible to deport all originator TV advertising executives to the land where what they portray in TV weird adverts for the rest of their lives. It is not an unkind thought, as those executives really do believe that such places exist?

Sixty year old advert for "OMO Blue" (or "Blue OMO"), the 'WM7' component was a fabric-whitener, apparently.

Especially when to to see credible differences in phones it is better to wait 2 years between phones.

I once heard it said that TV advertisments are the creation of alien beings who never fully understood the reasoning of the members of the human race and that is why today, we still see strange situations in TV advertisements that bear no relation to actual reality.
