Hi, I’ve been offered a conditional offer. I’m currently waiting for my DBS along with my references to come back

Well Done.

My DBS only a took a day. Just waiting on references.
Does anybody have any idea when the training may start? Heard any proposed dates?
E.G 1 Month, 6 Months?

Cheers

Do anyone of you have any idea as to when the slots would be released?

I have not given my final round for RCO yet and cannot see any slot since 10 days now. I have called High volume team but they said it may take few days or few weeks.

What is the usual trend?

My checks pretty much done, just waiting for one employer but DBS, ETW All done.

I have also been scheduled for a medical. Anyone else have their medical booked in?

For RCO slots you may be waiting a while as I was under the impression that all interviews and role plays had been completed for RCO so quite surprised to hear you’re still waiting for SBI for RCO. Check daily around 12 that’s when slots usually released

Thanks for info.

How did they contact you regarding medical?litets

It was literally just a phone call, offered some dates and times and you select when you’re available then get a confirmation email. It’s not a private number either

Well done on passing as well. My screening has all been completed. Still waiting for medical and I also haven’t heard anything yet on a started date. Hopefully won’t be too long from here

Thanks,

I have just had my call today regarding my medical.
My checks are all complete and I have been told the provisional start date is 4th November. I am assuming this is for everyone. Unless they have dates to avoid in November.
Training will be for 6 weeks and you are not allowed any time off during training.

Extract from advert: As a Revenue Control Officer, you will be deployed across London Underground, supporting and providing reassurance to our customers and colleagues. You will provide additional highly visible support to the existing Revenue Control Team to reduce fare evasion.

You can be deployed to anywhere on the London Underground network, and will work on a shift basis.

I don't understand the point of the thread - it isn't asking a question, nor answering one.

This is the ‘Railway Jobs & Careers’ Forum, it is where people post job adverts that may interest other members and also generate discussion amongst people who are [considering] going through the recruitment process.

Hi Wilma

So in terms of booking a medical do we choose a place local to us or is it a standard place we all go too, did they tell you what the medical screening entails? And the start date is that for everyone 4th November ? The only reason im asking is for working notice on current job etc . Hopefully I get my call soon

I am booking in my medical today so I will find out and let you know. I was unable to confirm dates yesterday due to work commitments.
Medical will be a drink and drugs test.(urine sample) and an Eye test.

Yes I was told they are hoping to start the training on the 4th November for 6 weeks and no annual leave to be taken in between.
I would assume this is for everyone but if people have dates to avoid in November/December then maybe they will start training another time(just my theory).

I would need to give 1 months notice myself. So until I get a formal start date/contract I will not be able to hand in my notice too.

Medicals are done internally by LU at their own in-house occupational health department, located above one of the entrances to London Bridge station.

My start date is provisional September 30th so I’m guessing they are doing it in different batches not sure how many cohorts there will be

My medical was at there OH in London Bridge literally right next to the station can’t miss it. Would be interesting to know how many positions they were recruiting for and how many got the job. I reckon there will be 3/4 waves if you’re saying you’re on a waiting list

my reed screening has all green ticks and apparently is all done and passed but apparently still just for the internal quality checks before submitting my file back to TFL so not sure how long that will take.

Well that makes sense as I had dates to avoid in October.
Good luck and it would be interesting to know how many recruits they have taken on.

i’ve got november start date and had my reed done and my medical 3 weeks ago, and spoke to them earlier this week and told i’m fit to work so start date is confirmed for november, but contract will be 2 weeks before.

edit: must say i don’t like the use of ‘confirmed’ which was the word tfl onboarding used, when there’s no contract yet, but oh well, railway things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

actually scratch that, had an email with a confirmed november start date, saying contract will arrive 2 weeks before, so at least something’s in writing.

I still haven't had any communication regarding my medical being booked or any start dates given. I contacted the on boarding team who confirmed I'm still on a waiting list for this. Anyone else in my position ?

Yeah I'm also on the waiting list. They said as soon as they get info on more start dates they'll be in touch.
