I've received an invoice from Accurascale, payable by 13th July 2024 but no notification of dispatch. This is the first time ever I've ordered from them. Am I expected to pay before they dispatch my order or will they just dispatch and send me a notification?

Be a little unusual these days to receive an item through the post and only then be required to pay the supplier at a later date, wouldn't it? Was this a "pre-ordered" item?

This is weird. I've re-read the email (sent today) and given that we are in September why send an invoice retrospectively requesting payment by 13th July 2024?

Yes I will email them tomorrow. Has anyone on here ordered an Accurascale Class 31 and received their model?

May I politely ask if you paid in full, a deposit at the time of ordering, or was it just a zero deposit upon ordering? The reason I ask is the notification is probably to ask you to pay the balance of the order, which you can do via the link in the email or by logging into your account, viewing your list of orders, viewing the specific order and clicking the "Pay now" button.

I had a similar issue with another product, where it said payment was due in February but wasn't actually due until after then. I believe it was an originally planned date, but payment isn't required until just before dispatch. I could have left it until nearer dispatch, but opted to pay it there and then.

I believe you can leave it for the system to take payment automatically at the point of dispatch, but you can always pay earlier to guarantee it will go through.

No, they haven't arrived into stock or been dispatched yet. One batch is due soon, with another batch due later in the year.

As @Mcr Warrior kindly pointed out, just email their support email address, who are really helpful and can ensure everything is in order for you.

I hope this helps.

Thanks guys :)

It was a pre-order (originally through Hattons) and no deposit was paid.

At least I know now none have arrived into stock yet so hopefully I'll get a notification of some sort. I have emailed their support and await their response.

You're most welcome.

If you have ordered direct from Accurascale, then you will get an email from them once the item has been packed, when it is shipped and when it has been delivered. You should also get an email from the carrier (DPD or Royal Mail) letting you know when they will be delivering it. Just ensure the email address associated with your account/order is up to date and check your spam folder in case any emails wander in there (I've whitelisted their various email addresses to prevent this).

I'm not sure if you do already, but it is worth subscribing to their email newsletter as that provides updates on products and release dates. Their staff are also active on the RMweb forum where you can find this information too.

I hope you enjoy your model when you get it.

Wise words, thank you :)

Reassuring to know they will email me once packed etc; just like another well-known supplier I use regularly. I can't remember if I've subscribed to their newsletter but I do get emails from time to time with products etc.

Nice to know staff are active on the RMweb forum. I subscribe to this so maybe, I might get a quicker response rather than their support email(?)

Anyway, I have a couple of 30's ordered and obviously look forward to seeing them in the flesh.

I'm sorry for the late reply.

The official route is to go via their support email address. However, if you view the relevant thread in the Accurascale subforum on RMweb, you can always post a message and one of the staff members may reply to you there.

I believe we're only weeks away from the models being delivered to our doorsteps, at least for the first batch anyway. The second batch is a little way behind that.

I note that you've ordered a pair of Class 30s. I don't know if DCC sound is your thing, but I believe they have now managed to find a suitable loco to record the sounds from (it's somewhere in that thread or an email I had). They'll be releasing sound decoders so you can upgrade the non-sound ones.
