Any idea of the running time for an HST with five coaches running from Perth to Edinburgh via Ladybank & Burntisland. Looks like 1B30 from Inverness to Edinburgh is being diverted via Fife today. No booked station calls except Haymarket.

TIA.

It took 69 mins, not un-ironically - the 0648 Inverness to Edinburgh, back in the days when it was scheduled at 3h10, was booked Perth to Edinburgh via Kirkcaldy in 69 mins with just a Kirkcaldy and Haymarket stop - 3 mins of allowances Inverkeithing to Haymarket, so net schedule would've been 66 minutes.

Back in September 2021, during a Scotrail sunday strike, and engineering works, my Inverness to Kings Cross IET (Class 800) was routed from Perth via Ladybank rather than Stirling, and with a clear road we did Perth to Haymarket in a smidgeon over 60 minutes. Haven't looked in detail at the sectional running times, but due to the relatively low low speeds of the route, I wouldn't expect a 2+5 HST to be much quicker.
