TPE Edinburgh to Glasgow Central

A few weeks ago on a Saturday there was a TPE service from Edinburgh to Glasgow around 7pm. Was this a one off?

Yes, it will have been. From Edinburgh they normally only run towards Manchester Airport (via Carlisle/Preston) or Newcastle/south of Newcastle.

Think they still run this each night for the Edinburgh Festival. It's usually meant to run to Glasgow/Polmadie as ECS so it might aswell be a passenger service right now.

It was advertised on the PIS boards at Edinburgh. At first I thought it was an extension of an East Coast service to Glasgow.

It's a 397 off the Manchester run, usually went to GLC anyway to stable and form the first TPE of the day there
