Random Question: What does this button do in the cabs in Nottingham's Alstom Citadis trams?

Does anyone know what the two red buttons are for?

Left one could be hazard brake.

Not sure about the RH one.

It's not the main one, as there's a big red button on the other side for that. I've never seen these used in my thousands of tram journeys in Nottingham, and it occurred to me I don't know what they do. I'll try to ask some of the drivers I know!

Ooh good point, I hadn't thought of that! I've never really had a tram fault luckily so wouldn't have seen that! I'd imagine that's probably the most likely answer, but I've asked a tram driver so I'll see what they say!

We have an answer! The left hand one is Brake Faliure Warning Indicator, and the right hand one is the Speed Restriction indicator (e.g. a fault is restricting the speed)
