Software Issues on the Class 380

There seems to be a problem on the pis of the class 380. The front displays of the train don’t seem to work at all. While the interior ones display the terminus station at most times even saying before stations that the terminus station was the next stop and then stating the real one. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Yes they should; I'm a little confused as to what the issue is here.

Sorry I worded it wrong; I meant that the front display was saying nothing at all while the interior display was displaying the terminal at all times.

Ah, okay i understand now. I've not observed this particular fault but I'll keep a look out, I use 380s often enough these days.

Seems to be still pretty persistent. Currently sat on a pair of 380s on a Largs service, with the internal displays simply displaying “Largs”.

Announcements are working so not entirely sure what’s up with the screens.

One thing I noticed when traveling on a 380 a couple of weeks ago on the Ayrshire Coast Line was that when we approached every station the announcement said we were too long for the station.
I also noticed the original fault the OP mentioned.

They've always done that, since new.

Though it's 'this train may be longer' not is.

They only announce that at the beginning of the journey and prior to the actual station stop that has the short platform. Currently the external front/rear pis screens seem not to be working and the internal screens are not showing the correct stops. Announcements are also sometimes not working properly. It's been highlighted on internal staff forums and being looked into.

I've noticed some units display the destination correctly on the destination blind but haven't been on any of these units.

The toilets and aircon seem to be really unreliable right now too. However I'm not sure if this is related

I'm pretty sure when one calls on the Cathcart Circle somewhere (Burnside maybe?) It says "Due to a short platform, the doors in this carriage will not o..." before cutting out.

Found this quite strange considering IIRC the Cathcart Circle platforms can all handle a 4 car 380. It was even happening on 3 car units.

Another one was that the displays were displaying things like

“The next stop is Largs.” When it was actually Dalry or Lochwinnoch. It’s definitely a recent thing.
