I am thinking of villages where a bus route passes nearby but does not actually serve it. Realistically the bus route could serve the village without incurring a significant time penalty, but the operators have decided not to do so for commercial reasons.
For example, Hatch Beauchamp and Ashill are skipped by Buses of Somerset route 30 which uses the A358 bypass of those villages.
Are there many similar examples where the villages in question have no alternative bus service, or a very infrequent one at the most?
