They seemed pretty bright/dazzling when I watched them pass by Dore yesterday
Hopefully better - By having shorter carriages than the Azumas there should be more room for the suspension to move as there is a less urgent need to keep the shorter carriage within the loading gauge. In addition there will be none of the dreadful inside frame bogies fitted to the 810s as found on the unpowered intermediate trailers of the 80Xs.I like the look of these but - after riding a rather jerky Azuma not so long ago - i'm curious how they'll handle the MML
The only other London stations that LNER units have visited are, London Liverpool Street, once overnight for testing. And London Paddington on ecs moves to/from North Pole and Eastleigh.Great to see the future of operations on the EMR side of STP.
I think this is now the third AT300 model to pull into STP - we know about the HT 802s diverting* to STP and the 395s serve the SE platforms of course.
* I don’t believe LNER 80x trains have been to STP before?
I hope so, i was trying to drink Orange juice and there was a rather pronounced lurch and it went all over my top!Hopefully better - By having shorter carriages than the Azumas there should be more room for the suspension to move as there is a less urgent need to keep the shorter carriage within the loading gauge. If the 802s on Hull diversions are anything to go by, it’s not too bad obviously get the odd bump here and there but definitely not the worstI like the look of these but - after riding a rather jerky Azuma not so long ago - i'm curious how they'll handle the MML
Come to think of it, the front end does look like the Alstom Citadis trams in NottinghamNope, just focusing on the front, still looks like a tram to me
It looks like this similar Alstom variant in Dubai- not my photo however I'll be in Dubai on Friday so I will have a photo then!Come to think of it, the front end does look like the Alstom Citadis trams in Nottingham

Let's hope the MML passengers Get Lucky with the 810s...(Off Topic musing alert...)
And that tram looks like one half of electro pop former duo Daft Punk...(Public domain stock image attached)
Would it have been too much effort to give the "851xxx" series to the 805s? (the pedant inside me asks) - the 807s have the "871xxx" series810003 moved today from Merchant Park to Old Dalby.
To note on one cab it is numbered up as the carriage number 851003, with the unit number at opposite end.
The line has been fixed since May apparently810001 out on the Old Dalby test track this afternoon which I assumes means the recent landslip has been rectified.
Are they running all the way to Edwalton or stopping at the end of the wires at Plumtree? The line has been fixed since May apparently
There is a picture on 8Xx group on Facebook, showing an EMR at the end of the line, at the buffer stops at Edwalton. Are they running all the way to Edwalton or stopping at the end of the wires at Plumtree?
One of the posters guessing (jokingly I hope!) that the location is Booths. Mind you, with the slow rate of introduction, they’ll be life-expired before they even enter service! There is a picture on 8Xx group on Facebook, showing an EMR at the end of the line, at the buffer stops at Edwalton.

Remind me. How many seven car 222 unit are there with East Midlands?Does anyone know what EMR plan to do with the six additional 810s over 222s?
Assuming any current 7 cars would be come a double 810 but that still leaves 2 additional 810s

Yes but I don’t believe increasing frequency is on the cards so I would naturally assume more 10 car services. ~7 car 222 first would see 50% capacity reduction if they are operated at 5 car 810Modest anticipation of passenger number growth over the 25+ years they should be in service? Not very ambitious, nay almost totally lacking ambition. But would there be capacity at St Pancras for much more?
Effectively the 222 fleet uses platforms 2 to 4 at St Pancras, as the Class 360 units for Corby seem to stay in platform 1. So, for 4 trains an hour for Leicester, there are 3 platforms.. Sometimes, two trains use the same platform. As you say, not much room for growth. At one time, there was talk of EMR using one of the current Eurostar platforms, but now they talk about more platforms for Eurostar.Modest anticipation of passenger number growth over the 25+ years they should be in service? Probably a stupid question, but could EMR use a different terminus for additional capacity? Created a new thread to reply to both of these: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/emr-london-terminal-capacity.271980/Probably a stupid question, but could EMR use a different terminus for additional capacity? King's Cross?
Kings Cross is more or less at capacity, several LNER sets have to leave the station and go to Bowes Park then back to King’s Cross just ti make a platform available.Probably a stupid question, but could EMR use a different terminus for additional capacity? King's Cross?
Remember there also used to be the HST fleet operating alongside the 222's. Even with the additional six units and additional coach length, there will still be an overall reduction in the number of seats available to Sheffield / Nottingham compared to when the HST's were in use. EMR themselves realised belatedly this was likely to be an issue with them then attempting to supplement the fleet long-term with 180's, but that experiment died a while ago, so we're stuck with their back-of-an-envelope calculations they did when placing their bid for the franchise.Does anyone know what EMR plan to do with the six additional 810s over 222s?
