May I please ask where would it go next after staying at wolverton

I think it was DiligentDave that said they would be used for spares to keep all the other others now at Northern going, as you can imagine it's hard to get spare parts for the doors etc.

It was out yesterday, singly, on the one Bromsgrove diagram. It should have been stabled at Four Oaks during the night, ready to form a Four Oaks-Redditch diagram today. If it has it will be at Five Ways around the following times:

Five WaysTo Redditch16:18Diagram3 2R43
Five WaysFrom Redditch17:38Diagram3 2U50

Thank you. Will try to intercept 2U50.

EDIT - on it now. It's stuck to that diagram. Many thanks.

I'm glad it worked out for you. The list is from a mathematical model of the diagrams I knocked up on Excel. The railway has made it easy in that the two routes (Redditch-Four Oaks and Bromsgrove-Lichfield) have diagrams which don't overlap. A train on the Redditch cycle takes 2h30m to complete and the Bromsgrove 3h. The head codes also follow an arithmetical pattern so are also easy to calculate. Others on the thread have given details of the trains they've seen, and so I worked back to the first train in each of the four diagrams. As the timetable is almost clock face I've used standard times in minutes from each station from/to Redditch or Bromsgrove.

I've been using it for three weeks and it hasn't let me down yet.

Observations Saturday 20th July 2024:
Redditch to Four Oaks.
323240 solo vice 6 car
323216 solo
323211 till around 19pm. Then failed unsure what replaced it Later on.
Bromsgrove to Lichfield
323222 323221.

It's possible only my guesswork 323204, could well be involved with Mondays 22nd July 2024, move to Wolverton, it hasn't moved Since failing in traffic with 323215 on the 0939 Lichfield Trent Valley to Bromsgrove at 1023 at Birmingham New Street. Low on power. On Monday 08th July 2024.
Plus previous times it's been in service it has always, had, low on power issues. Failing and always quick to go out of service again.

I have produced this ready reckoner for the four 323 diagrams at Kings Norton.
It is a mathematical model based on the times of the first trains in the morning from Redditch and Bromsgrove, so the times are approximate.
The headcodes are also calculated.
I've been using it for the last week and it hasn't failed once.
I thought some of you might find it useful.

Kings NortonTo Redditch05:58Diagram2 2R01
Kings NortonFrom Redditch06:26Diagram1 2U06
Kings NortonTo Redditch06:28Diagram3 2R03

Thanks for doing this. Do you expect these diagrams to be continuing this week (w/c 22nd July)?

Thanks in advance

Here's the ones from today unless I have missed any

211 - Lichfield TV - Redditch
216 - Lichfield TV - Redditch

221 + 222 went from Four Oaks to Soho 1601

Maybe some interest in the north is that singular WM performer 220 seems to be replaced by either 207 or 222 tomorrow, both 207 and 222 will be out and about anyway

Any ideas what replaced the units at Four Oaks?

222, that quickly, sure you don't mean 242 0r 202.

Down to 3 diagrams and the timings have changed by the looks of it.

All short forms too due to some units needing repairs

Observed through Hampton in Arden.
On the Soho to Wolverton stock move.
323204 leading 323201 trailling.
323204 wasn't sounding healthy as though on low on power again and 323201 on rear doing all the work.

3 Diagrams: Redditch to Four Oaks:
1. 323 solo same one in place.
2. 323 solo same one in place.
However Friday 19th July 2024 might well have seen the final 323 pair on this route, but take with a pinch of salt.

Bromsgrove to Lichfield:
Pair of 323s, but start and end Soho, no longer overnights at Four Oaks,
Ie 0829, 1129, 1429, 1729, 2029, ex Bromsgrove to Lichfield but as reported is shortformed today,

Maybe they should have held on a bit longer to the 323s, but I now suspect it's very nearly game, over. 4 more 730s, all it takes.

Needing retirement maybe?!!

I wonder if the introduction of the 730s will be delayed slightly due to the summer holidays?

Mon 22 July. Was at Kings Norton between 11:00 and 11:30 and saw all three 323 operated trains. They were
11:00 2R21 323240 (my 'Diagram 2' Four Oaks-Redditch)
11:09 2O22 323211 (a new diagram Lichfield-Bromsgrove)
11:26 2U26 323222 (my 'Diagram 1' Redditch-Four Oaks)

I don't know what happened to 323216, as 2O22 was a single unit only when I saw it.

Trains 2P25 and 2R23 (Kings Norton 11:17 and 11:30) in my diagrams 4 & 3 are now both 730's.
I assume these three diagrams represent the new order from this week, and will share my updated ready reckoner later.

With apologies if this has been answered in the previous pages:

Does anyone know the fate of the 323 with the special Centro livery? Presumably, it won't get any special treatment and in terms of the transfer is "just another unit" ?
