Hi,
I'm travelling (with 11 year old son) across Europe to Czech Republic next week. Much of the journey was to be covered by a Nightjet train from Cologne to Vienna. We then have a separate ticket from Vienna into Czech Republic later on the same day.
I had an email yesterday that there had been a timetable change and the night train, on which we have a reservation, seems to have been taken off the timetable!
Does anyone have any experience of this scenario? Due to travelling with a child, I cannot just pick up any other service travelling overnight as the whole idea was using the night train as a hotel, so would need to travel the day before. Can I cancel both tickets (ie the nightjet and the separate ticket into Czech Republic) and expect a refund? Does OBB have any obligation to pay for accommodation for the night that we now won't be on the night train?
It's all a bit of a shame and OBB not very responsive so far...
Thanks for any advice...
