Over running engineering works north of morpeth

Looks like it's going to be fun and games as three trains now running late not a good start to the day.
Looks to be some where north of Morpeth north junction. Apparently a rail needs welding so all lines are blocked.

Reported as an breakdown of the equipment used to stress the rails.

Network Rail engineers were on site at Stannington level crossing, a couple of miles south of Morpeth, just after 8 AM.

I knew something was amiss when I saw the 7:08 Newcastle - Edinburgh come to a halt at Plessey at the signal before the crossover. I then saw the same service 40 minutes later passing over Stannington level crossing. I was a long way back in the traffic queue, but it didn't look as if it was running on the up line.
