We had a guard from Clacton to Colchester and angry faces through the window at the others. Not sure if Church Lane has a non-stop setting, but we were held at Kelvedon to rub it in...

I’m not sure if 720s operate degraded with guards. I know very little about them and their operation.

News had Rishi Sunak at Alstom Derby today, standing in front of what appeared to be (based on livery) an Anglia 720

Yes, they have all been built for months, but there are still about 12 units at Derby being completed/sorted out (a mixture of 720/1s and 720/5s).
I make it 720104/139/141/143/144, 720502/503/504/505/510/516/534: Of these 516 has been to Ilford for test purposes but was returned to Derby - possibly not fully completed ?

Apparently a bird ran into 720585 driver windscreen approaching Colchester & so had to immediately cancel take out of usual ps

511 was returned to Worksop with blue tape bits all over the rear face. 137 has been at ilford for over a month for testing purposes because of some minor faults with the traction & possibly the doo camera failure 140 must be still at derby or Willesden being the next to get delivered straight to passenger service with 142 101 519 138 102 being the most newest recent added to the family fleet. Not sure about 516. Possibly fixing the 3x2 seating arrangement.

137 is currently on test heading Harwich direction through Colchester as 5Q04.
137 was with 140 today when it passed Stratford on 5Q04

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but out of interest - looking a 720123 today at Stratford - the coach end data panels show each coach to be Class 720/5:

Yeah I haven’t seen 123 before. I think it must have been its first day in passenger service too & yeah all 1s have been changed to 5 coaches for flexibility. They can couple with /5/1s to make 10 coaches. It’s a shame they didn’t bother with the 701/0s.

720 123 has been in service for a while; I had it for haulage on 20th March.

Do west Anglia drivers sign all 3 traction types? Or just 720s and 745s?

I'm not in the loop, but I've noticed new covers for the alarms (toilet), new bike straps, removal of some seats from doorways and changing of locks also.
