A read of this thread might be a good place to start!! Everything you need to know is in here.Just got my email back at the weekend saying I past the situational awareness stuff, so waiting on hearing back for the next assessments.
Can anybody thats passed the next set of tests advise on what to study/revise for in the meantime in anticipation of the tests please? Any heads up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Id also not stress too much, you could be waiting a long time,Just got my email back at the weekend saying I past the situational awareness stuff, so waiting on hearing back for the next assessments.

Thanks for that, was also told at Atrium Court DMI next, guess I'll just have to research and practice for all possibilities, which is annoying as have left all my stuff in Scotland. I sent a return email saying I was away for 10 days, so fingers crossed I'll get some time after I get back to Scotland. I know when they give you a date for tests/interviews it's generally within a week.I am an external candidate and sat assessment 1 on 3rd june and was advised at that point the next part is DMI. I then received an email on 11the june saying I had passed and that things had changed and would now sit day 2 before DMI. I sat day 2 which included MMI on 13th june and received my passed email on 14th june then received an email on 22nd june inviting me for interview on 26th june. Not sure if it as quick for everyone I would imagine it depends on the depot you are pinpointed for.
Brilliant mate thank you. Thats my plan, to revise out of my ears. You will be sent a pack with practice material. In addition I purchased this book from Amazon with far more examples to get stuck in too. Practice, practice, practice.
Thanks Chaz I was expecting a long wait after this email anyway given what comments on the earlier pages on the forum have said.Id also not stress too much, you could be waiting a long time,
Some people got that email a couple of months ago and have heard nothing.
It'll happen but it might not be fast.
EveryoneIs everyone on this thread now just those who have applied in the March 2024 recruitment drive?
I amIs everyone on this thread now just those who have applied in the March 2024 recruitment drive?
I just sat Assessment 1. 4 half moon dials, 43 questions, 7 minutes! Don't expect to finish in the time. Can anybody confirm the time exposure for the memory test with the street scene? I've heard 1 second and also 2 seconds. I hope it's 2 haha.
Also if somebody could confirm the dials test? I have downloaded 2 programs that have different dials. I think the correct one is the half-moon with different colour sections and then a value indication at the bottom of the dial. Am I right in saying it is 4 dials per question and there are 40 questions to try to work through in 8 minutes?
thanks.
Yeah 43 questions, from memory i completed 32, pretty confident I was correct with all , and passed.....not not not looking forward to the 1 sec clipCan anybody confirm the time exposure for the memory test with the street scene? I've heard 1 second and also 2 seconds. I hope it's 2 haha.

Not the case, admin closed replys to the March thread, it is still viewable but this is now the main thread for all ongoing scotrail recruitment. Not everyone at all. In fact there is a separate thread for March '24 applicants.
Good evening, all,
It would appear we’ve had two separate ScotRail Trainee Driver threads running simultaneously for a little while (albeit I realise this was an intentional split at the time).
I’ve just taken the opportunity to move a handful of most recent posts from the other thread (https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/scotrail-trainee-driver-various-march-24.263657/) to here.
Feel free to continue any discussion as appropriate - picking up from either thread
Take care,
TP
Fair enough. Not everyone in here is a '24 applicant though. Not the case, admin closed replys to the March thread, it is still viewable but this is now the main thread for all ongoing scotrail recruitment.
Yeah sorry that's my bad, by everyone I meant even people from previous recruitment drivesFair enough. Not everyone in here is a '24 applicant though.
Which doesn't really answer my question does it.Yeah sorry that's my bad, by everyone I meant even people from previous recruitment drives
I don’t think so as someone who was at my first and second assessment days applied in December 22 and was asked to submit a CV (not a new application) for this recruitment period. Not sure if they are on this thread thoughWhich doesn't really answer my question does it.
I am wondering if everyone who is still on this chat and currently sitting assessments beyond the online SJT, are those from the March '24 drive or from early applicants.
