Hello all,

I am asking about the traction that will haul the Salburn Railtours' railtour to (of course) Saltburn from Bath. The website does not state and if anyone knows what traction will haul it (5th-8th July). Any info is welcome!

Thanks,

Caleb

Who do they normally use for traction, that may give a clue? Also presume from the date that it arrives in Bath on the 5th, returns on the 8th, if so where does the stock stable? Just trying to work out if it will pass my house!

I would imagine that the stock may well be used elsewhere over the weekend. Any tours starting in the Bristol area?

The tour actually runs from Saltburn (of course) to Bath which is the destination for this year's trip. The train will return to Saltburn on Monday.

Yes, as they stayed with the stock over the weekend. 47802 currently leads 1Z66

I unexpectedly came across this service yesterday, passed it (running as 1Z66 0958 Bath Spa to Saltburn) while it was stopped for pathing reasons at Sleaford at 1715 (I was on 2O22 1614 Skegness to Nottingham). It appeared to be reasonably well occupied.
