Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! their chief weapon is surprise!

This is now beginning to have the appearance of a Monty Python sketch!!!
Does anyone remember the one that they did about the Spanish Inquisition?

I predict that the world will end at 05:24:36 BST on the 23rd of May 2011.

......Another one bites the dust:roll:

Only in America could this sort of scam be done and be considered perfectly legal.

TBH this guy is no different to those various priests or whatever they like to call themselves these days who claim to have amazing healing powers 'from God' on TV who miraculously 'cure' people with life-long debilitating illnesses by touching them on the head and chanting something.

Once saw one of these shows where this woman claimed to have severe arthritis and was unable to walk (complete with wheelchair). Guy comes up and places hand on head and makes chant. Lo and behold said person then gets out of chair and does a dance!

I think his name was Peter Popoff. He appears to be one of the worst offenders of this sort of thing.

Here's the Wiki article about him:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Popoff

It's all a fraud. (Like we didn't know that already though).

If the world DOES end on October 21st, will I be able to get a partial refund on my annual season ticket, or will it still be valid in hell?

Since Harold Camping ( a name straight from the "Carry On" films) made an incorrect prediction of 1994, then the second wrong prediction a few days ago......is he going for "the best of three" with his latest prediction of 21st October?

How can the media give any credence to what this man says any more?

Surely the devils' minions are more forgiving than any of First Capital Connects' revenue protection team, so you might be in with a chance. ;)

I haven't seen my 'mate' for a while so maybe he has already gone ahead...

Real news is not as exciting and you have to remember the media are here to make money, not to inform the public (if the latter were true we'd get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth)

Curiously enough my WJEC GCSE Exam Poetry Analysis section today was about the end of the world due to a lack of oil and modern technoogy failing...

As I understand it, Oxted School (as it is imaginatively named) does WJEC for English as well. Which makes you the last of a tail end of the specification?

If he's going for best of three then surely he has already lost 2-1 even if the planet does vanish in a puff on October 21st?

I am stunned that people have donated all their life savings, thinking the end of the world was coming..

To keep continuing with an 'oops, I made a mistake' excuse, in the same style as Steve Jobs going 'whoops, our software guys made a mistake' to explain away the 'antennagate' scandal, sounds like a great moneyspinner.

The next time he's wrong, hopefully some of his donors will at least start to question their own beliefs. Hopefully. ;)

Nah, they're just as crazy, if not more crazy, than he is. At least Camping sees an opportunity to get rich. In addition, at that level of delusion it is easier to distort reality to their view of reality

If the end of the world came to pass, not everything would be destroyed, there would be just one type of survivor which is.....

T H E...C L A S S...1 4 2...P A C E R...U N I T S<D <D <D

The most indestructible thing known to mankind<(

Until they have a collision with a class 87 or the bufferstops at Liverpool Lime Street

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I now respect the guy for making easy money from gullible fools!
