Ive not tried this journey at all but if your crossing from LU @ Bank onto the DLR do you have to swipe your oyster ?

Is there a reader there or can you just carry on with your journey then finish up and touch out on the DLR station where you get off?

Bank DLR is part of the LU station (rather than being separate) so it depends which tube you arrive on. You will either be able to go without touching at all, or you will need to touch out and in again. Providing you do the two touches within 15 minutes then an OSI will ensure that the journey is still treated as one.

You can walk from any LU line to the DLR line at Bank/Monument without passing through barriers (although it may be faster to exit and enter again in certain cases, in which case as MikeWh pointed out the system will combine the journeys).

Yes. Rather than going through the gates at the end of the W&C platform, go off to the right-hand side where you will be sent down an interminably long corridor, and follow the signs.

Yes, if you go through the barriers you will have a long walk through some corridors and then have to go through another set of barriers before going down in an elevator. Much better to take the corridor to the right. There did actually used to be barriers in this corridor but they have long since gone.

I agree with all the above.

There did used to be yellow oyster pads by the DLR platforms, and it was formerly necessary to touch in/out on them when interchanging between DLR and tube (or vice versa), but that's no longer the case, and the pads were removed...I guess at least 3 years ago now.
