HD06 seems to have turned around at Port Talbot back to Canton (with no reason currently shown). Is this an issue with the train or something unrelated? If it's a train issue is there a set on Canton to replace it if needed to?
EDIT: Nevermind, just found it. Issue with a train at Skewen so lines are blocked

Yes dragging brake on a 150+153+153 formation.
HD06 is the serviceable spare at Canton tomorrow anyway.

Out of interest, what 67s are paired up with what sets at the moment?

None with HD07 but 67022 planned to run to Holyhead on Friday then take it to Crewe ecs on Monday.

Out of interest, does anyone know what point the conversion of 67016 for TfW use has got to; and has anything happened with recently acquired 67026/28 yet?
Heading into the new timetable, the current 4 diagrams is still the ones running temporarily with the same ones as now (1W13/1V39/1W61/1V62) part of a short term planned 197 diagram next week.
From what I understand this will likely be the case each week until around mid-July now while this round of B exams us finished off.
Ironically though 5 sets have been available every day (other than today due to HD04s exam) and should be next week too.

As I understand it now, it will enter service in the scruffy EWS livery it's currently in while the final designs for the livery on the coaches is confirmed to avoid having yet another variation which doesn't match.

If all goes to plan I believe so yes. After HD07, 05 should be the next one due it's heavier exam where the coach is added.
All of them, although not sure exactly when the overhaul/Repaint programme is scheduled for but its getting closer. Unless it's changed believe HD08 will be the first through that in order to provide cover for the others going through.

I seem to remember there was some doubt about whether or not HD08 would materialise, Sounds like HD08 will definitely go ahead then ?
It's not 100%, it has to have a full assessment as the interiors have been quite heavily stripped and it's been stored for so long that there could be unseen issues such as corrosion and/or water damage and how good the electrics are is anyone's guess!
It has been fitted with the TfW push-pull mods but don't think it's got SDO yet.
If it's not usable then the plans will have to change but there's intention to get it out.

So HD08 will happen?
As far as I'm aware, nothings changed and that's the plan.
It does depend what condition it's in when it's stripped down too but all being well it'll be done

That was the plan before but not totally sure if in honest now. There has been the odd talk about it being preferred to get them into standard fleet livery like the rest of the units too so time will tell!

I saw the vehicles of HD08 from a passing train at Barton Hill this afternoon. Yes, looks like it will need a repaint!

1V70 is now showing as 197118, any reason for HD01 being swapped off?
DB have stopped 67020, was hoped to replace.with 67015 but that's has wheelset issues.
To get 4 sets out tomorrow now requires some loco changes at Crewe, 67020 will come off HD01 and be replaced by 67008, which is being replaced by 67015 on HD03.
Tomorrow there's a swap at Cardiff so the 16:49 Crewe and 17:14 Holyhead will change diagrams, this will get HD02 to Holyhead where it will have an exam.
HD07 will also move to Crewe tomorrow for its exam.

Yes unfortunately that's the plan for that one.
A set was planned then to come off Canton at 10:52 although not totally sure what's where now!
Edit W57 now unit to Crewe then HD06 to Manchester

025 with HD03 should do 06:27 and 16:30 from Manchester and 12:49 from Cardiff.
012 is on HD02 which is at Holyhead for an exam so that won't be back out for another couple of days yet.

Am I right in thinking there are two sets in Holyhead at the moment? I was told 67012 was moving with HD07 but can’t guarantee it’s a reliable source!
