No sign of 323s at Blackpool North on RTT today. Will northern 323’s started running on the Manchester to Blackpool North or Liverpool to Blackpool north be running from today?

It is booked one, 0709 Brighton to Southampton is also booked one.1N02 (05:14 Brighton-Southampton) was a Gatwick Express (387 203) this morning - it passed me as I walked the dog.
The return service was, annoyingly, cancelled - so no photo.
Tomorrow, I'll discover whether the new timetable has a 387 booked for that working, or whether today's appearance was a one-off
It attaches to 1N61 (2020 ex Southampton) and forms the 2240 to Havant. There is weekdays 1N55 Southampton Central 18:50 to Brighton arr.20:35. RTT shows no next service which should form off 1N55. Possibly empty to depot?
Currently, there is a 45-minute wait for trains from Guildford to Woking between 10:49 and 11:34 and also, between 18:49 and 19:34.You wouldn’t be able to do it at those times as they’re crewed by London end crews. I agree a random off peak service isn’t ideal, but unless you’re going to do it in the evening peak in the up direction (like how 1G64 does) you’re never going to find a perfect time.
Diagrams in post 686 above show no booked workings unless I missed one … just a couple of units stabled there all day. Will northern 323’s started running on the Manchester to Blackpool North or Liverpool to Blackpool north be running from today?
Thanks - and here's 1N17, the return service, on the West Coastway in a rare patch of sun today0709 Brighton to Southampton is also booked [a 387]
Only one I can find and not advertised nor listed in the WTT as a through working. Is it true that some Dunblane-Edinburgh services are now carrying on through Edinburgh to North Berwick?
Does that mean some Dunblane-Edinburgh services will see some Class 380's

I just checked realtime trains there is a few services throughout the day also switch between the two routes.Only one I can find and not advertised nor listed in the WTT as a through working.
Unit arrives Edinburgh 1918 from Dunblane on 2P06 into Platform 19, sits for 22 mins and then departs as 2Y04 to North Berwick; booked a single 3-car 385.
In the reverse, 2Y01 arrives 1858 from North Berwick into 8W, then sits for 6 mins before forming 2P15 to Dunblane; booked a double 3-car 385.
Just appears to be one such working each way.
Is there a page where you know what units are booked? It is booked one, 0709 Brighton to Southampton is also booked one.

As of yesterday there is no longer any booked 380 work at Edinburgh. The Glasgow Central via Carstairs and North Berwick/Dunbar services are all 385 worked now.Is it true that some Dunblane-Edinburgh services are now carrying on through Edinburgh to North Berwick?

Took long enough for them to make the 0610 Littlehampton to London Victoria service a 12 car despite being standing room from Portslade. Maybe in 2-3 years they'll consider upping the 17.33 to a funky 10 car working...Shame it’s not a 12-car as I expect the additional Three Bridges stop will make it very busy midweek, but I’ll wait and see on that one.
No, that's too much luxury for us to deserveTook long enough for them to make the 0610 Littlehampton to London Victoria service a 12 car despite being standing room from Portslade. Maybe in 2-3 years they'll consider upping the 17.33 to a funky 10 car working...
A Burgess Hill stop on the 1733 would be nice too, but I won’t hold my breath…Took long enough for them to make the 0610 Littlehampton to London Victoria service a 12 car despite being standing room from Portslade. Maybe in 2-3 years they'll consider upping the 17.33 to a funky 10 car working...
Especially considering the Friday service got the axe. Everything else is holding on by a threadNo, that's too much luxury for us to deserve
No everything else is not holding on by a thread. We aren't in 2022/early 2023 anymore.Especially considering the Friday service got the axe. Everything else is holding on by a thread
That won't be helped by Guildford to Woking trains having to use the down line to reach Woking Junction. Apparently this is necessary because of faulty points on the up line, which can't be repaired until the autumn. It's also causing unusual platform allocations at Woking, with up trains from Guildford using platform 4.Most hours the x49 gets into Woking at x57. If on time and if you position yourself on the right part of the train and run, you could make the x59. I don't know how reliable the x57 arrival is and some hours the train departs Guuldford later and arrive x59.
Doing the run, where possible, saves you having to wait 20 minutes at Woking for a train to Clapham Junction and saves you 11 minutes on the journey time between Guildford and Clapham Junction, when catching a train at x49. Definitely woth attempting it, even if your train is late as you never know, the other train might be delayed for some reason.
If only the x49 from Guildford could arrive into Woking 3 minutes earlier but I accept there are all sorts of pathing issues so I'm not suggesting it.
Still a bit of exercise between platforms is good for ones health. Just don't trip up on route.![]()

Seemingly caused by a blockage on the up Portsmouth Direct near Woking there have been some unusual platform changes today. First image (from Open Train Times) is from 10:00 today. My train is the 10:00 Weymouth and it's on platform 2 which is normally an up platform. This train normally...www.railforums.co.uk
There doesn't seem to be an 18:02 Avanti service from Euston to North Wales anymore. So, it's either getting the stopper to Stafford or waiting until the 1833 departure for the Stafford stop. Really puts a damper on the house-buying plans.
It will likely be in a year. So I hope it will be resolved then. The 18.02 North Wales service is temporarily not stopping at Stafford. Hopefully by the time your house purchase is complete that may be resolved.
It has certainly extended to the station announcements. I was at Truro on Tuesday 4th and the 1215 Paddington to Penzance (1C79), which should have arrived Truro at 1617, was delayed and so arrived at 1643. It was referred to on the announcements as "The Royal Duchy" and I had hoped to attach a recording of the announcement to this post but for some reason it won't attach.Indeed. Let us hope it is extended to station announcements, PIS etc.

Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree here but there does appear to still be an 18:02 to Wrexham which calls at Stafford? The 18.02 North Wales service is temporarily not stopping at Stafford. Hopefully by the time your house purchase is complete that may be resolved.
This will free up more train units and create longer trains on that route or elsewhere especially if there is no southern service is not stretched to OreDo you reckon in future, Southern will do what they did in the West-coastway area but in the East-Coastway area For example
2tph London Victoria to Eastbourne
2tph Brighton to Ore
2tph Brighton to Seaford
1tph Eastbourne to Ashford International.

I got to Plymouth at 1805 and am sure I heard another named one on the speakers there.

Makes sense, make the Eastbourne - Ashford the "semi-fast" train rather than the stopper. After-all 377s pick up speed better than a snail of a 171Do you reckon in future, Southern will do what they did in the West-coastway area but in the East-Coastway area For example
