Planning journey in the Summer Munich to Stuttgart Airport (as the return flights to London that day are too expensive from Munich).
Actually rather pleased as I would have loved to have done the whole return journey by train but don't have the time for sure.
Unfamiliar with the German railway.
Is First Class worth the extra money?
Seems to be better seats and food can be ordered and delivered to your seat rather than complimentary, is that correct?
Also, bemused that when looking at Munich to Stuttgart Airport tickets, some seem to suggest that it doesn't include travel to the Airport, (marked "Route Section Price") just to the Main Station, yet some do?
Think it's because these are changing to Tram rather than continuing by train?
Also, those journeys continuing by train...
With Advance tickets can you break your journey at Stuttgart and continue on a later train to the airport in order to look around the city for a while, i.e. booked train only for the express part of the journey?
Any advice appreciated please.

Correct. You'll probably be offered a minuscule snack.

Yes. Just de-select Tram and U-bahn and you'll see a through fare via the S-bahn.

Yes, so long as it's the same day!

First class is generally less crowded than second class, has 2+1 seating rather than 2+2, and has nicer seats, but otherwise not much difference
