Cn anybody tell me the numbers of the two barrier vans please?

One contributor to Rail Record shows them as 96 70 0096 605-1 (96605) and 96 70 0096 603-6 (96603)

43468 & 43480 and 20007 & 20142 worked 0501 6Z78 Kirkdale CS to Kidderminster SVR with the barrier vans

Thank you for this valuable info. I have added to my list.
And to add to your list...

RailAdventure bought power cars 43306/307/316/320 last year. These are the four that have been re-activated at Kidderminster by RailAdventure engineers and are being sold on for export.

Are 20142 & 20189 on an official secondment to Rail Adventure at the moment or are they just spot hiring them?

Thanks for the info. That's interesting that they bought and sold for export.
Do you have more details on these 4 - EVN, ex-owner or livery, whom these were sold to (operator, country?

I wonder the same too as I seen this post on RailAdventure (UK) Facebook.
Does RailAdventure UK own other tractions other than the HST Class 43?

No EVNs carried (but they are allocated as 92 70 0043 3xx-y), previous owner was Angel Trains, livery is old Virgin East Coast (like 43296/308) and are likely bound for Mexico.

It’s a short-term hire, so not owned by RailAdventure.

Apologies for heading slightly off topic, but my records for the 2x 20s in question show them as having joined SLC Operations in Dec 2021. Am I right in thinking that Rail Adventure took over SLC Operations and therefore this is the same lease but now just under the new umbrella?

RA did indeed buy SLC Operations. It’s not the same lease: the locos were hired before and as above this is a new short-term hire.

That's also interesting information as I tracked the locomotives that they hired on short-term in Europe.

Great. I will add them to my list but I wonder how should I classify them? Short-term ownership and resold? :D

What record does 127001 hold? As I understand it the record electric locomotive speed was 331km/h set by SNCF BB9004 in 1955. This was only surpassed in 2006 by the Siemens ES64U4 that is now numbered 1216025 with a 357km/h run. Bringing this back on topic, that 2006 run was effectively the start of what is now the RailAdventure business.

According to Wiki:
The prototype 127 001 was produced to test the three-phase AC drive in electric locomotives and can therefore be described as the "mother" of the current Siemens three-phase AC locomotives. With a speed of 310 km/h, the 127 001 set a new world record for three-phase AC locomotives on August 6, 1993 on the Hanover-Würzburg high-speed line between Würzburg and Fulda.

This is different from the other world record set in 2006 carried out by the people who then started RailAdventure.

Thanks - do you happen to know when the initial hire in with SLC ended and what happened to them afterwards? Presumably they just went back to Michael Owen?

Thanks. NVR updated https://german87ac.com/railadventure-fleet-register/

Are 43 467 and 43 423 still at Eastleigh Works for repainting? Any idea when these will be put into service?

Have a good weekend ahead!

The 2 Class 44 HST 43 484 + 43 468 that went to Germany in October 2021. They carrried Hanson&Hall "HH" logo at that time but have since been removed.

Does anyone know if RailAdventure HST 434 80 has Valenta or MTU engine? I am deciding which type of sound decoder to get for the Hornby power car.

Thanks.

All the RailAdventure power cars have MTU 16V4000 R41 engines.

As they are fitted with buffers, two power cars coupled together are essentially like one big locomotive? I've not been following this thread

0Z44 made it to Kidderminster without drama with 468 & 480 top and tailing as reported by @43096 have to say I'm really really surprised that 423 & 467 are still in EMR blue, they were both pictured rubbed down some months ago so I was fully expecting them to be in RA livery today

** Updated Friday 23rd February **

43468 & 43480 worked 1212 0Z45 Kidderminster SVR to Kings Norton OTPD with 20205 DIT
