I'm waiting in the Wolves Talent Pool too, DMI was early September.Don't suppose anybody knows how many of us are waiting in talent pool for Wolverhampton?
I'm sure we will hear something. Worse case hopefully its in a couple months maybe March, April times we get a responseI wish they could give us some update.
Thank you!I'm sure we will hear something. Worse case hopefully its in a couple months maybe March, April times we get a response
Hi,Hi all just wanted to see if there are any Wolverhampton applicants? I applied initially back in March 2023 and did online tests. Since had several emails since saying the application is on hold while they get the training schedule from avanti.
Is anyone else in the same boat? What would the next stages be? Thanks!
I’ve been informed they’re waiting for dates after March so would make sense to potentially hear something then…!?I'm sure we will hear something. Worse case hopefully its in a couple months maybe March, April times we get a response
I've not even got the VSE or M7 yet, I had another "Your application is on hold" email last week although I hope things will pick up soon as Crewe is finally going ahead and the deadline for internal applications for transfer to Crewe was last week and there were quite a lot of Manchester & Liverpool drivers who have put in for it so once they start moving across and freeing up some spaces, things might move forward for us.Morning All, new member here
I'm wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me: I applied for the Trainee Train Driver roles at Liverpool on 28th Feb 2023, and have completed the following tests (I think I'm at stage 3):
On 20th April, I received an email from the OPC saying they were organising dates for The Trainability for Rules and Procedures Test Part 1 and 2, The Group Bourdon Concentration Test; & The Test of Everyday Attention for Occupational Assessment. Since then, I've had one or two emails saying the recruitment for Liverpool is now on hold, with the last communication being on 1st August and nothing since.

- Avanti-TB-DT
- Avanti-TB-NTS
- Visual Search Exercise
- M7 Situational Judgement Test
Is anyone else in the same position? Appreciate Avanti and the OPC are recruiting for a lot of roles, for a lot of depots - and I'm more than happy to wait - but it's been nearly 12-months since applying and going off this thread, between the next couple of stages, medicals, and then moving from the talent bank to an actual role, it could be another year.
Cheers all.

Yes you can apply again when they recruit and you’ll go straight to DMI. You can also apply for other TOC’s and skip most assessments.Hi all, I had applied way back in feb last year and passed all the tests and had my DMI in December there for Polmadie.
Unfortunately I heard back recently they weren’t processing any further with my application and I am currently waiting feedback. Has this happened to anyone else before ?
With the tests being valid for 5 years, if I apply again will I be able to go straight to a DMI again ? Any advice ? Thanks
Okay thanks, was a bit gutted to hear they weren’t taking it any further but it’s all part of the process. Hopefully I have some good constructive feedback to work on.Yes you can apply again when they recruit and you’ll go straight to DMI. You can also apply for other TOC’s and skip most assessments.
Sell yourself well and come across knowledgeable. Take a bottle of water with you, you’ll be doing a lot of talking. Make sure you do your research. Good luck!Hello
Has anyone had a DMI recently who could point out some hints and tips?
You forgot to mention Evian water ha!Sell yourself well and come across knowledgeable. Take a bottle of water with you, you’ll be doing a lot of talking. Make sure you do your research. Good luck!
Haha! Didn’t want to sound too repetitive but if me and you end up on the same course, my choice of water might give me away! LOLYou forgot to mention Evian water ha!
Hahaha. I might bring a bottle of Evian just to confuse the others.Haha! Didn’t want to sound too repetitive but if me and you end up on the same course, my choice of water might give me away! LOL
I heard about 7 weeks later mate once OPC passed it over to Avanti. How long did everyone wait from receiving the email from the OPC advising they have passed their details over to Avanti, to getting a date for a DMI or any correspondence from Avanti?
I'm still awaiting feedback from my November dmi, I've been cutting them a lot of slack for it due to how busy they are and the festive holidays etc.Okay thanks, was a bit gutted to hear they weren’t taking it any further but it’s all part of the process. Hopefully I have some good constructive feedback to work on.
How do they get in touch, email or phone call?Hahaha. I might bring a bottle of Evian just to confuse the others.

Just out of interest, when did you sit the final round with OPC?How long did everyone wait from receiving the email from the OPC advising they have passed their details over to Avanti, to getting a date for a DMI or any correspondence from Avanti?
Erm early summer was the finished testing. Then got told 7 weeks later by email to confirm DMI appointment. I would start preparing now as you might get notified with a week or 2 turnaround. How do they get in touch, email or phone call?

Is the Crewe depot so they can phase out Preston, or just give them alternative driver depot options? How do you no this information?
I've been chatting with a few of the drivers & DTM's. Approx 30 applied for the transfer from Manchester & Liverpool so maybe 15 should make it from these 2 locations and they will be looking to have Crewe up and running by September.
