Hi All - I’m looking to book Deustche Bahn ICE tickets from Bruxelles-Midi to Cologne in mid-June. When I try to book via the website the seat map won’t load. I’m assuming that this means tickets haven’t been issued yet, but we’re within the 180 day window. Does anyone know when ICE tickets will be issued for June 2024 please?

What date?

On the desktop website the DB site will say “sale from xx.06.24 possible” if a sale date is known.

You can also try with OEBB.at (they sell both tickets and just seat reservations).

S Yorks, usually
I've successfully booked ICE tickets (with a seat map) for 11 Jun via the desktop website in the past few days, albeit not for an international journey.

Thanks both for getting back to me - really appreciate that. The journey is on 15th June.

I tried looking at the DB website on both laptop and mobile but couldn’t see anything re sale dates.

I’ll take a look at OEBB if I still can’t see anything.

Reservation doesn't seem to be possible yet for the 15th. May be related to engineering works for which there's no final timetable yet, since trains for the 16th can already be booked.

the Belgium ICE's are fequently subject to last minute changes so possible they are not on sale yet until they know of any planned works
had that happen to be a few times last year on that corridor

There's nothing to stop you reserving seats later if you want to, it costs no more.

Is that definitely the case on trains to/from Brussels? Normally DB charges 4.90/5.90€ for a seat reservation in STD/1ST (OEBB could do some for €3 last time I checked).

The same charge applies if you book it along with the ticket (there was a short period when 1st included reservations).

Thanks all for the help!

Seems like the engineering works mean you’re not yet able to book a ticket (based on the above) and I’m on a bit of a tight schedule so I’ve taken the plunge and gone for the Eurostar (which was a little more expensive, but had a few tickets available still).

Really appreciate the help.

Even the DB website with planned works doesn't know anything about planned engineering works between Köln and Brussels on the 15th of June, despite works usually being published there quite early.
