I went to my local station (An FCC TL station) to try and purhcase the above ticket. Unfortunately, despite the member of staffs best efforts he was unable to find the ticket on the ticket issuing system.

Does anyone know the code for this ticket and/or how to issue it, or if it's even available from TL ticket offices?

Cheers

Certainly should be available - it's valid for travel from Bedford! :)

I'm not surprised he couldn't find it if he weren't overly used to issuing them as some Rangers and Rovers have obscure name in systems, which Staff wouldn't automatically think of and they certainly arn't consistant and sometimes have no logic. Anyway I've had a look again as I came across it recently, a 3 in 7 EM Rover is in fact an E Mids Flex RVR in Avantix Traveller and the code for issuing it is I115. The name for the 7 day is an "E MIDLANDS 7 DAY" with the all important code being I775.

It is issued from a specific Rangers/Rovers menu / area on the TIS -

The rover/ranger NLC code is a bit pointless when issuing from a STAR TIS as it will only let you search for a rover product alphabetically. Some are named really strange or use unusual abbreviations.

Some of them you just have to go right through the entire list and as each possible discount is in the list, it is quite extensive.

First Capital Connect use Tribute don't they?
At Stockport they have the codes on the side of the ticket desk and always input them into Tribute rather than searching for the name. They also cudn't issue an EM Round Robin once in the same fashion as the OP because they didn't know what they were looking for as it wasn't on the most likely list and it was evident the staff I've had in the past don't know any other way of looking although the guy the other day fished out a huge file of rover info, which in the end he didn't use.

Thanks for the help all. Sorry to be a pain in the arse but what exactly am I asking for them to look for, as I need to use this ticket tomorrow.

Will they be looking for E MIDS FLEX RVR? And then can they just apply a RC discount as usual?

Yes, and make sure that you have two coupons, one of which with the date boxes on, unless issued on purple rover stock.

Some stations do, others don't. I don't think it's used on the TL side. Schedule 17 lists the approved TiS at every station.

I can do rovers, but nobody ever asks for them - presume people buy them further down the line in their area of validity.

Purple stock? Is this common? I've never had a FOT South West of Heart Of England on this stock.

Old rover stock. Not sure if they're still in use but certainly heard people talk about them not that long ago. They have date boxes already printed on them. They're mostly printed on standard orange stock nowadays with two coupons.

Found out the other day a freedom of Severn and Solent is listed as FOSS on Avantix. I don't know how any of my colleagues would find that, it's only coz of my background on here that I'd know to look for it.
