Why do you think it might be Doncaster?
TrainFX has Wabtec Doncaster listed as one of their installers on their website so I had a feeling that they'd be sent to Donny

They won't go to Holbeck. The digital mods were done at NL and that's where TrainFX is planned to be installed.
So it'll be Neville Hill. Thanks for the info.

Do you know when Train FX work will start on the 333s?

What is the plan for Manchester-Blackpool services from the new TT? Are 6-car 331 workings still planned to work all services, or will it be 6-car 323 or even 8-car 331?

Anything less than 6 coaches (ie. 3 or 4) will lead to overcrowding on most services now.

See this post on another thread for a summary of the December EMU diagrams on the west side:

Manchester - Blackpool services will be mainly worked by 6-car 331s, with some 4-car. No 323s to Blackpool - I don't think Blackpool drivers sign them yet?

Gonna be fun
Along with the 16:11 out of Bradford cancelled, I happened to be on that one, people crammed up to the doors as you would expect, clearly doesn’t work as a 3 car 331.

Fortunately the diagrams work such that both peak flows (am towards Manchester, pm towards Preston) are covered by the same diagrams. So those retain 6 carriages, and the counter peak flows are downgraded to 4. Which might be a problem at weekends.

I can tell you with confidence that there won't be an 8-331.

I wonder if this will be a Northern Unit too:

FL driver
continues as

5E12 Wolverton - Heaton ROG. Replaced by 5J81/5E81?

156471 moved on 5J81 - 5E12 Caped

Currently the 4 car 331 units that have gone over to the North West are: 102, 103, 104, 109, and 110.

The 3 cars that have come over to Yorkshire are: 001, 002, 006, 008, and 009.

I'm guessing all the transfers won't be done in time for the timetable change knowing three have been cancelled already.

I cant see any more moves on RTT yet.

Oh really? I originally thought 12 of the 3 cars were coming to Yorkshire. Trading 12 for 12 is what I originally thought unless someone can correct me here.
Only 9 NL 331/0 diagrams (8 in service and 1 on maintenance) for Dec 23 tt change. More will follow in 2024 when 6 car working starts.

Ah, that makes sense. If they do the 4 Allerton-Skipton runs next week, that should total up to 9 331/0's then.

However, at the same time it would mean only 9 of the 331/1's would have gone over with 3 still in Yorkshire following the cancellations on a few units. (Subject to how next week goes.)
