Villach to Velden am Worthsee departing about 14:00

Velden am Worthersee to Klagenfurt Haupbahnhog departing about 10:30

14th August 1992
Velden am Worthersee to Munich Hbf Departing middle of the day as we had a couple of hours at Munich.
Munich to Oostende night train arriving midmorning.

Looks like she had a blooming clear out a few years ago and a lot of old books went in to the dump.
I thought my books were safe.
It appears my notebooks on the trips for 2000 and 2003 have also vanished !!!!!

I don't remember changing as we had cases and my Mum was pretty upset as it was the first trip to Austria with my Dad who had been killed two years before.

We caught the train in Velden and it went up through Salzburg direct to Munich.

This sounds about right as we ended up on the train and it was full of football fans and very noisy! LOL

4/8 No through trains. Where did you change?

From memory only: most likely it was a change of train-nrs, but a few cars, the sleepers and/or couchette were shunted into the other train (most likely the Holland-Wien expr, running AMS-Wien), in Köln. So those in that cars could simply sleep on! Oh-the old-style wonders of what trains could also do.
In german they call that ´Kurswagen´. Somehow I also remember the old ThCooks showed that somewhere in additional info.
As its just memory now, no 100% certainty-really dont know till when this system lasted.
As I just saw another note in another rail-forum about more or less same possibility, not able to be shown in new-style computer data.

The return overnight was 214 to Köln and 224 from there.

On the return did you travel back via Vienna, or via Klagenfurt/Villach and then either Salzburg or via Kitzbuhel and Kufstein?
