I hate the new announcements. Very unprofessional voice overs with irritating and abrupt voices, too many long pauses between words, and just cringe worthy as a whole.

They are terrible I agree. They seem to bellow out at excessive volume also. I saw one passenger the other day with his hands over his ears. Ridiculously loud.

I agree, but I do have somewhat of a bias

Ditto to all three of you. The New announcements sound very unpleasant and in my opinion they sound rude.

Why would you get the two grumpiest sounding people to record your onboard announcenments?

The old announcements had a much more welcoming feel to them

The 331 swaps start this week between skipton and allerton depots.
First movement from skipton tomorrow 20th then a allerton to skipton and back on tuesday, same on thursday and friday
Will they be moving one at a time or in multiples?

Can anyone confirm if they've begun rolling out the new announcements on the Class 158's?
I saw online on the automated announcements site that they're now been implemented into the 158's.

Some of them, I was on one a few weeks ago on the Calder Valley Line and it had Mr Yorkshire doing everything. Although I was another one just a few days ago on the same line and it was still the old announcements so clearly they're taking their time.
