40011 is at Carlisle for MOT apparently.
47018 replaced 33162 on 1637 short 685.
47022 replaced a UID Dart on Citi 67/68.
Both Solo's have B10M formatting on them. Just the route number on the side flip dot, with the route number on both lines on the rear.
33162's LED wasn't working this afternoon, but was this morning.
34048 been on 69.
Citi 76 branded 34713 been on Annan Town Services, while mini Dart 33076 was on 76.
34214 was sat at bus station this morning, on a 93 this afternoon.

16441 and 16734 on LL's 600's.
20944 on CE 600 this morning. 16355 popped on this afternoon, before 20959 went out again. 20451 on evening 600's after a day on 94/97.
20908, 20909 and 24122 all on 79/179/379 this afternoon. One of the B10M's replaced 20924.

22607 was on 300/302 this morning, while 20436 was on either 30 or 31. Don't quite see why 300/302 gets low floor priority at the minute, with it not being a low floor advertised service, while 30 and 31 are...

47060 on Maryport Town this morning.

34215 in Wales (not my picture)

Add 20904 on the 104.

16124 on 31 with 20945.
20910 on Moorclose 51.

14244 arrived at Wigleys yesterday. (not my picture).

STAGECOACH MOVES TO PROTECT BUS SERVICE PROVISION IN MANY CUMBRIAN VILLAGES AND COMMUNITIES.

As bus users in Cumbria will be aware, the recent Government spending cuts have meant that the local authority have had to withdraw or reduce support for several bus services throughout the county. This is a picture that is being replicated throughout the UK.
Stagecoach has been looking closely at ways in which we might be able to mitigate some of these cuts by making adjustments to existing services, or introducing new services to ensure a continuity of bus service from the start of May onwards. The changes will be as follows:

530/531 Kendal - Grange - Cartmel
These services will be revised to divert most journeys via Levens Village, in order to replace the facility which would otherwise be lost by the changes to service 552.

551/552 Kendal - Milnthorpe - Arnside
These services will be revised to operate via the villages of Natland and Sedgwick on most journeys, as well as providing new links from Milnthorpe and Arnside to Asda and the Westmorland Hospital in Kendal. This will provide these communities with replacement services, following the complete withdrawal of service 550.

Ulverston area services 10 and 60
Following the loss of the 10 and 60 services around Ulverston, we are very pleased to be able to provide two new services, as follows:

10 Little Urswick - Great Urswick - Ulverston
This service will operate two return trips, Monday to Saturday, providing useful links into Ulverston and of course, onward connections Barrow on our services 6/6A.

60 Ulverston local service
This new service will operate every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday (off-peak times) linking Booth's, the Health Centre, town centre and South Ulverston.

Both the 10 and 60 services will use low floor, easy access buses.

New Ulverston Dayrider and Megarider
To make things even better value for our customers in Ulverston, we will be introducing a new Dayrider (£2.50) and Megarider (£8) from 1st May 2011! Valid to Swarthmoor, Croftlands, South Ulverston and Booth's (and all places in between).

The above new services will be operated by Stagecoach on a commercial basis and the future of them very much depends on usage. Timetable leaflets will be available from the usual outlets next week (or contact us) and timetables will shortly be available to download on our website.

Good that SC are picking up some slack. I know some people in Natland who were not happy at all about having the one bus service they had cut. Assuming all these changes wont effect KLs fleet?

On a side note I'm in Edinburgh at the mo and got to say I'm very impressed with Lothian! Very neat fleet and interestingly the interior of their stuff apart from the seat covers is just the same as SCs floor and everything. Shame they still have cash vaults lol!

22611 out on Moorclose 50 and 51 catch-ups
- 1100 51 and 1145 50

22611 still out on 50!

Seems 22611 is staying on 50.
16870 is on 51 now. Not sure where 20910 has gone to.
14234 on short 302.

47059 doing staff shuttles, again.
47060 went up towards bus station from train station with its front panel off. Red steering wheel cover of death in the front of it.
47061 is apparently sat in front of the bus wash.

47005 is the only Solo in service in Workington. 34218 is on Harrington & Seaton as per usual these days (34616 being the other bus on there).

22599 on 300/302 apparently. I've only seen 2 Scania's myself.

There has been a crash involving 'a' bus and another vehicle on Wastewater Avenue.

Could be 20910.... not confirmed.

Road is clear but Moorclose Circular is diverted along Westfield drive still.

16870 and 16447 on Moorclose at present.

I would think +1 B10M or Dart.
I would like to see the 551/2 combining to give an hourly service to Arnside - it would be well used, especially in summer!

Today; (You asked for it Lillyhall peeps!)
20977 on 107
47056/7 on Kendal Town service
18354-6, 18372 all noted on 555/6.
UID Trident on 567
599 was worked by 16294, TA12, TA14, TA15, TA16. Though I'm pretty sure I missed at least one slot.
Member Paul Mcgill was seen at the helm of one of the OT Tridents, can'y remember which.

Also, all the OT Tridents are now PO51/24F, this is due to the removal of 2 seats to create a cycle storage space.

33170 on 505.
20219 and 20457 laying over at Windermere, 20458 was lunchtime shuttle back to Kendal.

Nice to see some Kendal allocations for a change and in the summer do some Lancaster drivers go up to run the 599 because ive seen Lancaster drivers driving the 599 and i know that the buses that run it are Kendal Depot ones.

And also why i have been in South Lancashire/Manchester the past few days I have seen at least 5 X61'S and not one of them was run By 16651-16654 which were meant to run this route. Are they all out of action or something?

Yes, in summer Kendal draft in drivers from elsewhere.
Paul Mcgill normally drives for Morecambe but is at Kendal this summer.

I suspect 16651-4 are having work done; I know Chorley were far from impressed with the state of them when they arrived!

Traffic in Carlisle today is murder, all the Citi buses running together.

34214 doing 62's replacing a very late 34699 (IIRC)
47018 on 69s again but no sign of 47022
16355 on the 685
20907 on the 179 followed by a E300 2 mins behind on the 79.

Forgot to say that YJ60GGY (Reays) was running around out of service with a piece of paper saying "No O License".

Solos 47484 & 47485 have been working of Preston recently, they were Chorley based so guessing they might have moved back to Preston. Both still carrying Chorley day/megarider fares in the windows.

Seems odd, AFAIK Chorley has not lost any work, but Preston has. Are the 2 former Preston ones still working? They should have at least 2 spare with the lost of the Ribble Valley Clitheroe contracts earlier this month.... seems that Chorley, Fleetwood & Preston are sharing a lot of vehicles at the moment, if its a regular thing maybe we'll see the end of specific route branding/ticket details on the sides of these.
The Chorley Olympians are like you say probably VOR as the schools are off they'll have a bigger spare allocation and more vehicles to play with.

What's being rewired? Engine or internals (eg. saloon lights)?
Surprised they're getting bigger fuel tanks - would have thought the S reg pair of Olys (16669/70 I think) would be first in line for that!

New lights you say? Finally ditching the Wrightbus style ones?

47059 went onto 46/47
34218 was pulled from towns and had an afternoon run to Maryport and back on the 31.
30/31 running all over the spot, with three MAN E300's turning up at once at the bus station.
20436 replaced 14234 on short 302 - 20436 having the old programming, showing Whitehaven 300.

30 and 31 been all over the place. By end of the day, 20910, 20945, 16649, 16733/4 and 16331 were all on. 16124 might have still been on too, not sure.

20923 on X5-X50.
53339 on Sellafield 85 this afternoon, showing "Sellafield 85" on LED's instead of "Dearham 85".
14234 ended up staff shuttles.
34218 just sat on annexe, while 34616 continues to circle Harrington.

LOL! I was half way through writing it when you finished writing your allocations!

The incident this morning on Wastwater Avenue involved a bus and a cyclist. Bus apparently pulled out and the cyclist had to avoid and went over the bonnet of a parked car. Road was closed to traffic and Stagecoach began to re-serve the road late this afternoon.

The incident this morning on Wastwater Avenue did not directly involve the bus (which was a 'double decker'). Bus apparently in the vicinity when the cyclist went over the bonnet of a moving car. Road was closed to traffic and Stagecoach began to re-serve the road late this afternoon. Police, an ambulance crew and the Great North Air Ambulance helicopter were at the scene on Wastwater Avenue.

Only there was an ambulance in attenance at abt 18.40, and the police were taking measurements and photos at abt 18.50.

One for people who know the Lakes network - do the 505/516/517/567 run outside of the Summer season?

505 and 516 do.

22599 was on the 12.10 from Carlisle

I grabbed a quick shot of it in Workington on 1435 302 to Maryport.
Don't know if it is purely by chance, but out of the 302's I saw in Workington, the Scania's were all running late, but that MAN was running to time.....

Aye I said when we were up town before, that services 50 and 51 were being diverted via Moss Bay.

Although I wern't fully aware what happened at the time, I kinda knew something had happened, Otherwise 50 and 51 would of been working the normal routes.
