At the moment there are only allegations against Blunt. He hasn't been charged yet. Innocent until proved guilty (or not guilty of course).
Bone was found guilty by a parliamentary committee.
Bone's been saying he didn't need to be arrested as he'd co-operated with the police. I don't think it's up to him to express an opinion on that. Arrest is part of a process which doesn't end there, or shouldn't.

At this rate we won't need a general election.

Well the Tories have a net loss of 7 MPs from byelections so far (lost 8, gained 1). Parliament's website claims they now have 352 MPs and a working majority of 60 (link). But if I've counted correctly, there are another 5 MPs who were elected as Conservatives but who've had the whip withdrawn (Peter Bone, Matt Hancock, Scott Benton, Julian Knight, Rob Roberts) plus 8 DUP and 1 Reclaim (Andrew Bridgen - defected from Tories) - all of whom will probably vote with the Tories on most issues. If my maths is correct, that gives them an effective working majority of 88, so they'd need to lose another 44 seats at by-elections in order to force a change of Government without an election. (Though in practice, if they did lose that many, the more likely result is them losing a confidence vote in Parliament triggering a general election anyway).

Crispin Blunt has also had the whip withdrawn.

Sorry to be pedantic, but I'm pretty sure what @birchesgreen said was tongue in cheek.

They don't "trust" the party not to bring back Truss or someone with similar ideas.
I think the current Conservative party must be running desperately short of even remotely suitable candidates for higher office.

In the past they’ve found backbenchers who crave the limelight. These days, there are few left in the parliamentary party who haven’t already been a minister, or criticised the current government. The group who wisely choose not to get any more involved with the current lot, and tarnished by it, is small. Of the remainder, many are set to stand down.

I wish they get rid of Lee Anderson his comments about ADHD was totally bang out of order, I presume he's going to say Autism is fake next and a result of my parents? My parents who actually brought me up to respect others unlike Lee Anderson. That man makes me so angry.

I went on to the Daily Mail yesterday and some of the comments was outreagous, put them in prison, arrest them, put them in the workhouse, does really effect me mentally when you have people in government like Lee and other people who make horrible comments. I know I am trying, maybe I should stop caring what those lot think, negative influence and focus on the good things I have going on and the people who do matter.

Absolutely, try and put horrible, ignorant people like Anderson out of your mind and therefore your life. I know it is difficult and there appear to be more people like that these days, but they have become emboldened by the likes of him and media such as the Mail.

Those people are the kind no-one should care about, you're obviously much better than they are. Let's see how great their lives would be without any autistic people?, I bet a lot of innovation they rely on was created by autistic people!
Of course it's these kind of "expletive" that keeps the mail in business, though luckily they (despite what they think) are a tiny fraction of the population and it's only the current government pandering to these type of idiots that makes them think they are the big "I am" when they certainly are not!

They should put people like Anderson in a work house, then they might be made to do something productive for once, and a bit of hard graft would do them a world of good!

I worry that when (if) the government loses the election, it will lurch even more to the right to pander to "the daily mail comment writers" and we really do get into uncharted waters. Labour seem to have stopped lurching left, as they lost an election, but the conservatives seem to thing success is opened by "doubling down" on this.

I presume the Tories will realise their mistake and regroup as they will presumably want to try and win the following election.

If they go further to the right they'll be out of power for a long time.

Reform UK are further to the right than the Tories aren't there?

Just, yes. ;)

Yes, but the hard right believe they have the answer and the policies that Britain is crying out for. Their unpopularity is only because the recent leaders have pursued a too wish-washy, softy-lefty path. True Conservatives, in their eyes, should follow hard right policies as they are the only way to the sunlit uplands. (I could add that the very rich people they consort with believe this and this is how they have come to believe it.)

I will be quite happy if the only time i hear about Lee Anderson is when he is led away in chains by the police.
