Riverbus on the Tube Map??

This might seem like a very odd idea to some, if not many, but it always makes me wonder why something like the Cable Car (which is more of a tourist attraction in my opinion) is on the Tube map but the Riverbus services aren't. Do you think this should change?

I suspect the Emirates Air Car-thing is paying to be on the increasingly inaccurately-named "Tube" Map. From memory, isn't Ikea on there somewhere as well?

TfL own that now so they probably put it on so they don't lose as much money on it

Please no, as someone who's eyes aren't perfect, the amount of info on the "tube" map has made the paper maps far too cramped to read.

I haven't been to London for about 5 years but am off there next week. I have had a look at the newest tube map and agree with the above, it is becoming a mess.

The Elizabeth Line seems to have caused no end of design issues, especially with station interchanges and adding more clutter helps no one. The cable car will be on because it cost a fortune and it needs passengers.

Because Cable Car is a railway and TfL-run but Riverbus is not a railway. Before December 2020, the Tube map showed all the railways operated by TfL.

However, the addition of Thameslink into the map has destroyed the above fact, so the current tube map is neither a map of:
- the tube
- all railways in London
- all non-mainline railways in London
- all railways in London offering a frequent service
- all railways operated by TfL
- all railways where Oyster is valid
- all railways where contactless is valid
- all railways where a tube ticket is valid
- all railways where a Travelcard is valid

Sorry I think I may have an inaccurate definition in mind. These systems are more accurately called aerial lifts, with the similarity to railways that they can only run along a fixed infrastructure.

They are related but distinct concepts.
