Could the esteemed members of this forum explain something to me ?
When the Selby diversion was built much was made about the 125mph points at Colton junction.
But surely the points at Hambleton and Temple Hirst must also be 125mph ?
Or, for them to classed as 125mph points, does the 125mph have to be for the turnout, i.e. if the straight ahead is 125mph but the turnout is not they are not classed as 125mph ?
