The 13:10 Manchester to Chester had stopped at Knutsford due to tresspassers on the railway. The train was partly on the platform and partly on the bridge before the station. It seems the driver waited for the police to give the all clear before properly stopping at the platform.

National Rail app was reporting the train had arrived at Knutsford 18 minutes late, before changing to show it had departed 1 hour 4 minutes late.

Yet Real time trains shows the train arrived at Knutsford 61 minutes late and departed 64 minutes late.

Which set of times would be used for Delay Repay applications?

It depends whether passengers were permitted to alight. If they weren't, 61min should be claimed (and accepted eventually).

If that is what RTT shows then that's probably what would be used by the automated systems used for DR claims.

In practice I suspect if the train was partly on the platform if deemed safe the guard would have opened a single door so anyone who wanted to alight could do so. But that wouldn't automatically be recorded anywhere.

It was operated by a 150/1+156 formation. I doubt anyone was able to alight prior to the train pulling forward as the guard was on the 156 that was off the end of the platform.

It might have provided a very strange Delay Repay situation if the level of compensation depended which unit passengers boarded!
