The village of Nayland is very well endowed with Grade II listed buildings - over 50 of them, according to one on-line resource, mainly houses.

However, a Yorkshireman who likes to boast that everything's bigger and better in God's Own County might point out that there are over 70 Grade II listed buildings in Masham, North Yorks.

Broad Campden, Gloucestershire (just south of Chipping of that ilk) is also noted for its large number of thatched-roofed buildings.

Pretty well the inevitable association of the Sawreys -- "Near" and "Far" -- is with Beatrix Potter, who lived and farmed at Near S. for approximately the second half of her long life. In addition to her fictional / fantasy works, Potter was a keen and knowledgeable amateur botanist, including pictorial representation of the objects of her studies. There are paintings of fungi by her in the Perth Museum and Art Gallery.

One of those slightly desperate situations -- not a great deal available, known to me, to associate with Pilsworth ! Am driven to a near-repetition of a Jan. 2022 posting of mine about this settlement... there was formerly at Pilsworth, a retail and leisure complex called Park 66: now moribund, but consisting "back in the day" of a cinema, 10-pin bowling alley, Asda superstore, and assorted food outlets. The 2006 comedy film Sixty Six is on the theme of a boy's Bar Mitzvah ceremony, unfortunately clashing -- to the very day -- with the final of the 1966 World Cup. Culminaton of the film is in Wembley, London Borough of Brent; at the eponymous stadium where the match is taking place.

The Ace Cafe is a famous old-style transport cafe located on the North Circular Road in Wembley.

Another surviving, well-regarded establishment (5-star ratings on Tripadvisor) of similar ilk is The Riverside Transport Cafe at Colnbrook near Slough.

The poet Matthew Arnold (1822 -- 1888) was born in Laleham, and is buried in the churchyard of the village's All Saints parish church. A poem of his of considerable renown, is Dover Beach.

Farthingloe in Kent was also once administered by the Hundred of Bewsbury.

I'm going to be, again, a bit naughty. With Farthingloe being hitherto unknown to me, and also with minimal accessible information about it; I'm reduced to naming a namesake-but-for-one-letter -- Farthinghoe, Northamptonshire: a little way east of Banbury. (I confess to having known about the Northants. settlement, via a rail-related association.)

The Closed Stations Journey Quiz does have its uses...... :p

Aberystwyth also has a church that is dedicated to St Michael.

Indeed ! Also a mention in the "credits", to Rolt / Whitehouse's "Lines of Character", featuring Farthinghoe in context of latter days of the S&MJ Blisworth -- Towcester -- Banbury service (with running powers over a fair chunk of LNWR).

Aberystwyth also has a church that is dedicated to St Michael.
Aberystwyth and Aberayron are the two administrative centres of the county of Ceredigion (best not ask nowadays in this context, re Cardigan / Aberteifi: county town as its name might indicate, of this county, in the old days when things tended to be more straightforward :E).

Cornish name- and jurisdiction-intricacies: the ecclesiastical parish which includes Camelford, is called Lanteglos-by-Camelford. Some 25 miles to the south, and on Cornwall's opposite coast: is the civil parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey -- an area on the east side of the River Fowey, opposite Fowey town; whose principal settlement is Polruan.
