Seems to be major disruption at Worcester Foregate Street today - with Platform 1 being shutdown completely - affecting services to Bristol, London, Hereford and Birmingham.

RRB between Foregate and Shrub Hill currently in place.

Not sure what the issue is - but must be major for the decision to close half of capacity off.

Due to safety concerns over the structure of a stairwell, platform 1 at Worcester Foregate Street station has had to be closed.
Platform 1 is the platform for services between Shrub Hill and Hereford.

Platform reopened at 11:17.

Believed to have been concerns over ceiling crumbling above the stairwell to footbridge.

The 1350 Birmingham service was diverted via shrub hill for some reason because of congestion following it, incurring a 20 minute delay in the mean time. By the looks of it the roof is now supported with temporary metal posts.
