Assuming that we're at Riverhead Exchange, we next take the six minute walk to Grimsby Town station and board the 0735 TransPennine Express service 1B69 to Irlam, arriving there at 1023 on Saturday morning.

Irlam is not exactly a good place to be, so we decide to take the first available train service away from the place which strangely is one that takes us back to the east of the country and we board the 1052 TransPennine Trains service to Barnetby that arrives there at 1317 on Saturday afternoon.

Frustated at the fact we've taken almost six hours to essentially travel twenty minutes from our penultimate destination, and again with little in the way of onward connections by both bus and rail, we grab some dinner and board the 1352 TransPennine Express service 1B81 to Warrington West, arriving there at 1635 on Saturday afternoon.
