Are you a fully qualified Train Driver with an exemplary record?

If so, then you could be what we are looking for. We are creating a talent pool for qualified Drivers at our London Euston depot. Successful candidates will be placed in a Talent Bank until positions are available.

If you feel you have the drive, commitment and qualities to become an important member of the Avanti West Coast team then read on. There is no restriction on eligibility for applications except that Drivers may not apply until they have completed their probationary period.

This is a safety-critical post and you will be required to undertake a full safety-critical medical examination and alcohol and substance screening.

Salary details: £53,826 per annum (experienced Driver without core routes & traction), rising to £62,364 per annum (fully qualified Driver with core routes and traction). The salary will increase incrementally in line with Driver terms and conditions to a maximum of £67,486 per annum after 2 years.

The fact that avanti are advertising positions still for euston. Is that a good or bad thing for us people who are still in the process for the trainee train driver position?

It’s good, the positions for the latest batch of trainees are there. This is Avanti (I’m assuming) trying to make sure they have enough drivers in the future not to rely on rest day working. New recruits and qualified drivers will help them to achieve that aim quicker.
