Northern Careers Account Silently Deleted?

Hi there, I tried logging into my Northern Careers account last week and noticed that it had been quietly deleted without any communication from Northern about them deleting my account. I know that Northern have just recently changed the interface of their Careers site so is there a possibility that the two are linked? Has anyone else had the same issue happen to them?

I wonder if they're deleted periodically in order to comply with GDPR i.e. not keeping data you don't need if an application isn't in progress.

If your account has not been active for six months, under GDPR regulations the TOC may simply delete the account. My former account with DB was deleted last year, despite having a Cross Country application on there that was still shown as 'under consideration' from 2021.

Potentially so. But even then I would have at least thought that there would have been some sort of Communication from them to say that they would be deleting it. Also, despite not making any recent applications with them, I've still logged into my account on a regular basis to check out jobs, etc so it makes me wonder if it must have been a glitch when they changed the interface over for the site

Just logging into an account regularly, isn't enough sometimes. Companies where employment is highly sought after, may delete the account if the account holder has not applied for anything in the last six months.

Really? Still odd that they never communicated anything to me about my account being deleted. Either way, I would have expected them to notify me that they were deleting my account
