Humber Super Snipe - Saturday 26th:
Derby to Wakefield to Derby

2x DB 66
2x FL 70
1x FL 66/6

The Garsdale Growler - Sunday 27th:
Derby to Carlisle via Hope, Denton, Bolton & S&C, back to Derby via WCML.

2x DRS 37
1x DB 66

As always these tours usually have many on the day surprises. Possibly the last time DRS 37s will ever work a charter train.

Updates on the site for the Garsdale Growler (Sun 27) Subject to usual disclaimers, DBC 92029 will work the train Carlisle - Warrington, and a DBC 60 will work the train Warrington back to Derby.

37401+37425 confirmed as the 37s. They will move from Crewe Gresty Bridge to Toton today via 0G94/6G94/6D95 today and be detached at Toton. 66428 also in the consist in order to work 6K97 from Toton to Crewe after the 37s have been detached.

I believe this will be 37401s first charter working since 2015.

If that’s the case, I was on that one! A memory of that charter recently popped up on my Facebook timeline! That was the one from Chester to Bournemouth that it worked with 37405 (37025 wasn’t ready), with 57307 on the back for train supply. Bit surprised that 37401 hasn’t worked a main line charter since though, however it has appeared at the odd gala or two; it has appeared at the Keighley and Worth Valley twice (2018 and 2023).

Indeed that was the charter. Last service train it worked was in 2018 too.

60015 is technically correct!

I have to say yesterday's tour was fantastic,10 locos for haulage during the day and some interesting red bits of track covered, even with the delay caused but the derailed coach during the service didn't affect getting back to Derby on time, missed a few bits of track to regain the time but as they were going to be covered in the dark I wasn't bothered in al, honestly, on board raffle raised over a thousand pound to be added to the monies raised foe a good cause, well played all
