Is it worth having an Oyster anymore for me?

I find the most useful application of the railcard discount on Oyster to be the reduced off-peak cap. This greatly expands the fares and modes eligible. There was also a time when morning buses counted toward the off peak cap, but unfortunately TfL have fixed that

Busses don’t have peak times associated with them - all bus fares count towards the off peak cap.
