Did anyone apply for this round?
I applied for the latest round at Leeds. closing date was 16th July. I applied 8th July, had an email 9th July 'application under consideration' i've not heard anything as yet

i think it takes a few weeks for a reply to come thru, then its speed sailing if its not a vacancies full email.
It took about 3 weeks from the closing date for me to receive anything back ( the generic application been screened email) so I imagine it won't be much longer before you get something.
Hopefully won't be too long of a wait for you.

Hi there, I had my final interview in LEEDS at the end of July for the trainee deiver role at LEEDS. I was successful but received an email a week after saying although I’d met all the required standards in all the tests they couldn’t offer me a course/medical and it could be upto 9 months. Is this the same as the talent pool? And is a course/job guaranteed or is it just luck if I get an offer?
Just debating how long to leave it until I make contact again.

Talent pool? Yes.
Job guaranteed? Unfortunately no.
However you are likely to be offered a job within that time frame.
Once in the talent pool it all goes down the the business needs; I’ve seen potential trainees be offered a job a few months after being in the ‘pool’ and others were in there up to and over 9 months and received nothing.
It all depends. Northern do send potential candidates through the process even when they already have people in the talent pool.
Hopefully it all works out well for you in the coming months. I'll have to sit and wait to see if anything pops up in the next 6 months whilst my application is on hold under consideration. You're higher up that pecking order than I currently am.
I have read a few articles showing that Northern are recruiting 280 conductors and drivers this year but who knows what the split is between both roles and also how many they have already recruited so far. We'll have to sit in hope I guess.
