Is the LNER farewell set still there? That’s the last place I can trace it to, but I watched some drone footage of the site and I didn’t see it.

Only, for now, the two power cars.

There is also 2 x ex EMR 180 now there too, along with a number of stored Networkers.

Forgive my ignorance but is the stock at this location actually visible (with naked eye or binoculars), especially with trees, etc. being in leaf?
I assume that a few vehicles at the north east end of the site can be seen from passing trains but, looking on Google Maps, I can’t see a decent vantage point for the larger area of sidings.

You can see a bit of the east side from Queen Adelaide Way, and IIRC a little bit as/after you cross the rather decrepit metal footbridge that takes you from QAW to Kiln Lane (via the 'Cuckoo bridge'). And some of the west side from passing trains. But I'm not aware of anywhere that you can properly view the whole scene.

I assume the 180s don't include 112, which is a GC one.

The big footbridge bridge across the river has an encouraging sign that says that only 2 people should cross at once o_O

156470, 473, 497, 498 that are there are definitely not long for this earth. Unlikely to ever run again, missing WSP and full of rust holes, they always seemed unloved for some reason!

According to posts in these forums
  • 153307, 153328 and 153352 were moved from Ely to Landore in 2022 and now belong to TfW
  • 153317 was moved to Bristol Barton Hill in 2022 for conversion to a Network Rail inspection vehicle
Did these moves not take place in the end?

The TfW ones definitely did! Trainlogger also shows 317 at Bristol Barton Hill under refurb.

I went for a walk past Potters yesterday evening. From the path between Kingfisher Bridge and the bridge across the river, you can see some Networkers.
From Queen Adelaide Way, there is a 180 nearest the river.
180 and Networkers from Potters, Ely, 15-Jul-2023,

From just beyond the bridge for lorries to enter the site, you can see Networkers, MkIII coaches, another 180 and a couple of Sprinters.
Networkers, MkIII coaches a 180 and Sprinters at Potters Ely, 15-Jul-2023
From the footpath from Queen Adelaide by the line to Kings Lynn you can see an East Midlands Trains 156, an HST power car and a MkIII coach.

A bit further along the path towards Ely there are more 156s

This 156 has been polished at one end, but is otherwise grubby.

I then took the footpath over the line to Peterborough. This is from the meadow surrounded by the Ely North loop, showing more of the 156s.

UK Railtours actually go into the Potter site on a railtour if interested, on 9th September with THE ANGLIAN ANGEL. The first passenger train to ever enter there.

There are still a few tickets left for this. These are the paths:

Peterborough to Liverpool Street
Liverpool Street to Potters and then Ely
Ely to Middleton Towers
Middleton Towers to Peterborough via Stratford and Finsbury Park

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

These are lists of the units currently at Potters, as distributed on the Anglian Angel

Recently this drone footage of the site was compiled showing everything stored there in mid-October and how they were arranged:
